Packed up to my neck with work, I quickly scanned through the details of the group writing task about sunflowers. I had to marshal my fourth graders toward writing their information text about sunflowers soon. My mind raced feverishly for any information I might have about sunflowers. An aha! moment then hit me and I started to breathe easily as the memories of my day trip to a sunflower farm flooded through my senses, sending a wave of endorphins that uplifted me.

It was a scorching afternoon. My eyebrows furrowed as I groaned in dismay at having to get my fourth graders to do a writing project on sunflowers. As I scanned through the instructions sent by my colleague, my mind drifted back to that fateful day when I marvelled at the glorious sight of vibrant sunflowers at a Japanese farm. Instantly, my mood was uplifted.
