I am very determined that the money I spent on these P1 flashcards wouldn’t go to waste. I spent a precious thirty minutes picking up the characters that can combine together to form an idiom.
But that’s not all. I initiated a March holiday collaboration with @discoverylearners (of Limbang fame). My son had joined their spaghetti tower programme and enjoyed it. So, I could organise a two-hour activity that involved attendees racing against time to decipher English idioms and Chinese 成语 — and have my son learn these Chinese words without me having to push him!
Genius, I am. That’s why it’s okay if the clean wage policy doesn’t permit me to moonlight and benefit monetarily from this collaboration. Having my son be engrossed in learning these 成语 will be reward enough.
