An Analysis of Three Chatbots - Squid Game Version

School’s out, so I thought I should spread my love around and try out other chatbots besides ChatGPT. As a language teacher, I wanted to see the extent to which these chatbots could analyse a given text accurately. If they pull it off, they could serve as important collaborators in the setting of comprehension passages.

Inserted my own text to see whether I could derive an ego boost from these analyses.

My Prompt:
Analyse the sentiments of the following text:
Binge-watching “Squid Game The Challenge” like everyone else, but the way the marbles game was set up gave me pause for reflection as it made me draw connections with teaching. Yup, my occupational hazard unveiled.

For the marbles game, each pair of participants was instructed that they could play it to determine the winner in any way they deemed fit. This meant that autonomy was fully granted to the participants. Doesn’t this remind you of what some educators do in their classrooms - offer their students a buffet of choices? About how their charges can choose to create a Canva poster or make a TikTok video or do a role-play in order to demonstrate their understanding of the material? It reminded me that people respond to incentives, and that there is no greater incentive than feeling empowered and believing that you have control over your destiny.
