Usually you can find it on rocky places, cliffs, dry slopes and sunny walls, up to 2800 meters. Widespread in most of Southern Europe, in Italy you can find it in the Alps and Apennines. Perennial herb plant, with a tall stem that's about 20 to 50 centimeters longer and sterile leaf rosettes of a dark green, 3 to 8 centimeters broad. The flowers of the this plant are usually 10 to 40 that are about about 3 centimeters wide, which bloom from the month of june to august and their corolla is made up of 12 to 15 petals.

While ago I was with two friends in the bush of Bellecombe, an hamlet of my village they are lovers of the ancient art of ravanage like me.

At the foot of an imposing rock that ended up on our heads we came across a micro bush of Sempervivum tectorum, so small that I was just about to trample it.

It's intense green forced me to take some shots in Macro mode with my trusty Sony DSC-RX 100 and then photoshopped with Edit free program downloaded from the official website of the manufacturer.
