Change of the Tides? DoJ Crypto Lawmaker Leaves

By georgia86 | DeFi Off-Ethereum Guides | 12 Dec 2020

Beth A Williams recently left her post as part of the Office of Legal Policy (OLP) in the US Department of Justice.

Justice.. office of legal policy... isn't that redundant?

Anyway, she wrote many of the frameworks meant to be laws meant to protect US citizens from cryptocurrency abuse.

She left the office but apparently remains in the DoJ.

Is this US Assistant Attorney's departure a change in policy with Biden coming in?

Probably not. If you believe big business owns the government, then you'd think big business wants laws to be friendly to them.

Then again, some businesses are embracing open source blockchain because it will bring more money to the US in the long run, they think.

What do you think? Will the Biden administration bring proress? or send us back?
