Interoperability, scalability, and sustainability are major concerns for all blockchain projects. Interoperability allows for transactions between different network chains. Scalability ensures the platform can handle the increasing growth of users on the network. Sustainability allows for the growth and development of the platform itself. Cardano, a layer 1 proof of stake blockchain, has developed their platform to excel in all three categories. 

Supporting transfers of different currencies, tokens, and blockchains, Cardano is also prepared to integrate with centralized institutions for interoperability. The platform is  currently developing it's layer 2 scaling solution, Hydra. Hydra will be able to grant the platform faster speed with each "head" being able to process up to 1,000 transactions per second. To ensure it's sustainability, Cardano uses fees accumulated on the platform to fund it's Treasury. Developers can propose a plan for improvement, including the required funds to complete said improvements, and submit it to the community for voting and approval. This ensures the platform receives the developments the community wants with a guarantee on funds being available to complete it. 

Cardano's token, ADA, reached it's all time high on 9/2/2021 with a price of $3.10 USD. It reached it's all time low on 10/1/2017 with a price of $0.01735 USD.
