In 2017, we tried to apply the concept of logarithmic scale and more precisely of "Moore's laws" to Bitcoins (their value was around $ 4,000 at the time).
The founder of Intel Corp in the 1960s had noticed that the number of transistors (per square inch) on integrated circuits doubled approximately every 18 months, making computing devices exponentially more powerful over time and smaller and smaller.
1) The graph extrapolated from this law predicted Bitcoin's share of $ 10,000 in December 2018.
In reality, the value was around half.
2) A $ 20,000 value was expected for fall 2019.
Between September and December 2019, the values stood at $ 11,000 to $ 7500.
3) Moore's law provides for approximately $ 100,000 for 2021.
Seeing the first two predictions, could you assume $ 50,000?
It can be seen from the graph, however, that the highs and lows have often diverged from the average but the price, broadly speaking, has always stabilized on what was predicted by this formula also in other periods.
However, the graph shows that the price doubles approximately every eight months.
For much of the forecast, it went beyond expectations since $ 4,000 was expected in January 2018.
Moore's law, in 2024, brings us to values of around $ 1 million.
Obviously behind the cryptocurrencies there are dozens of variables (above all "supply and demand") but sometimes mathematics manages to predict impossible things.
