I tried the Opensea mobile app, which is currently only available for "testers" (accessible by invitation only). I should point out that I personally only use DeFi on desktop because I open many pages at once and prefer the larger screen, but I must say the team is doing an excellent job. When you install the app on Android or iPhone, you can connect it to your main account (for example, using a QR code). However, you can use it as a simple wallet where you deposit funds and can:
1) Buy NFT.
2) Trade spot (including cross-chain).
3) Trade perpetuals (Opensea uses Hyperliquid).
I found some of the app's features very interesting, not only for its user-friendliness but also for its social features. You can follow your web3 friends or traders and view their trades and earnings via the leaderboard. Definitely an interesting feature.

The flagship product, however, remains NFT market, spot trading (including cross-chain) and the perpetual exchange. Metamask has also added perpetual trading to its mobile app, but Opensea is a clear winner. There's no contest. Opensea's product is significantly more attractive, complete and enjoyable to use.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Essentially, as of today, the bottom menu consists of:
1) Search (to follow the users you prefer, trading tokens/collections).
2) Explore (tokens, collections, perpetual).
3) Portfolio (your assets and NFT, deposits in the app, cross-chain spot swap function).
The "profile" function shows your bio, your followers and the people you follow. Below that, you'll find your holdings (tokens and NFT), feed and activity (transactions performed). Remember to follow me if you want!

SPOT SWAP
I won't go into detail about the spot function because it simply allows you to swap from one token to another. The main EVM chains are supported (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, HyperEVM, Soneium, Ink, MegaETH, Unichain, Polygon, Ape Chain, Abstract, etc.) as well as Solana (if you use Opensea on desktop, you already know these features, and you can also connect Phantom wallet).

PERPETUALS TRADING
Although the app is still in beta, I believe Opensea's primary goal is to make perpetual trading accessible to everyone. Advanced trading features (TWAP, VWAP, GTC, IOK/FOK, Trailing Stop, Trigger, etc.) are unlikely to be added; what the team is trying to do is ensure a functional and easy-to-use product for everyone. Perpetuals for the masses. Basically, the app features:
1) Market orders (executed immediately).
2) Limit orders (setting a trigger price once a certain value is reached).
Of course, you can find everything you need in these cases:
1) Asset selection.
2) "Long" and "Short" functions.
3) Stop loss and take profit (can be set in % or dollars).
4) Chart (with various timeframes: hourly, daily, weekly, etc.).

Other metrics are also shown, such as daily volume, open interest, funding rate and leverage (depends on the asset; $BTC up to 40x, altcoins have lower leverage. This obviously depends on the Hyperliquid exchange).
When your position is open, you'll see your profit/loss, size, entry and liquidation price in real time. You can close the trade whenever you want (for example, at market price) or wait for your limit order to be executed. Once the position is closed, you'll see the final outcome and the funding rate paid (funding is an interest rate that longs pay to shorts, or vice versa, to align the perpetual price with the asset's spot price). There's also a leaderboard where you can see the profits/losses of other traders.

CONCLUSIONS
I would like to point out that this is my personal opinion as a user. I think it's accessible to everyone, whether you're an experienced trader or a newbie. If you're unfamiliar with how perpetuals work, it's a great place to start. You can start with even small amounts of $50-100 to learn how to trade and use leverage. If you use spot trading, you'll find all the major chains. Also, remember that Opensea's main focus remains NFT.

As you know, I'm very bullish on RWA: real objects/cards/goods tokenized on the blockchain. You own a digital NFT 1:1 with the real asset. By redeeming, you receive the object/card and the NFT is burned. This system greatly facilitates trading, for example, in collectible cards because you can trade them 24/7. Furthermore, scalpers can speculate without having to go to the post office to send the package to the buyer. You can redeem only when you deem it necessary, then you exchange NFT with the advantages of the blockchain. I believe this will be another focus for Opensea in the coming months.

It will be very interesting to see how the $SEA token is integrated into the platform. Dozens of use cases could be added, but I'll discuss this in a future article. Follow me for more updates on X (0x_Davide).
PS=Please note that the mobile app is still in beta (so sections may change and other features may be added). Beware of phishing links, the official Opensea domain with the code is the classic Opensea.io (which with an invitation code redirects to the official Android/Apple store. If the link is different, it's a scam!).
