🌐 Networking Devices: Modem, Hub, Switch, Router & Access Point

Hardware devices connect, manage, and direct data across a network. Here are the 5 main devices:

🔹 1. Modem
Converts analog signals from telephone/cable lines into digital signals for your computer, linking you to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
🔹 2. Hub vs. Switch
Hub: Old & simple. Broadcasts incoming data to all connected devices, creating heavy traffic.
Switch: Smart & modern. Uses a MAC table to send data directly to the intended device only.
🔹 3. Router
The "traffic policeman" of the network. It connects different networks (like your home LAN to the global WAN) and finds the best route for data packets.
🔹 4. Access Point (AP)
Converts wired network signals into wireless (Wi-Fi) signals so multiple devices can connect easily.

🚀 Understanding these hardware devices is essential for network management and security.
