In this post I’m going to guide you through the process and share some helpful tips for creating a Blog that can actually earn you a real wage

1. Choose a Topic and Blog name

This Blog is made for users like you who are just getting started and have little to no experience about blogging.

After following these steps, it won’t be long until you’re up and running.

Pick a topic that you are somewhat familiar with and have a passion about. it’s important to stick with your topic and not stray to far from it.

Once you have your topic you’re going to create a Blog name and a Domain name.

The name of your blog is going to be one of the most critical pieces to it’s success. It’s important to keep these 3 tips in mind when deciding on a name.

2. Choose a Hosting provider

Now you will have to choose web hosting provider and package. A web hosting provider is essentially a server that is always online and it stores all of your data, pictures and writing.

After completing the payment process to bluehost, your blog site will be created automatically, it’s so much easier than it use to be. After you have purchased the domain name and hosting, bluehost will automatically install wordpress for you as well.

3. Set up your blog

The wordpress that is installed comes with some automated pages that you should delete. Log in to you wordpress dashboard and click on all posts. Delete the hello world, the default sample page and the default comments.

Make sure you set your time zone to your local time. Click on settings > General and then time zone

 

Set wordpress discussion/comment section. Click setting > Discussion and use the screenshot below as a guide.

4. Make your first Blog

Before you can start your blog, first you will need to pick a wordpress plugin. There are literally thousands to choose from but in this guide choose I’m only going to recommend 5 to start off with.

Plan your content out by making a checklist that will outline your blog post. below are some tips that will help prevent you from making noobie mistakes.

. When I am writing I like to imagine that there is someone here with me I am talking to. it helps me create content that people will enjoy.

.Make sure that you are writing as an individual with your own personality. You are not writing for a News paper or Corporation. This is a blog and you need to conncet to your readers.

. Do not plagiarize and do not copy images from Google

. Add an about page on you Blog

Once your done creating your first blog post don’t make the mistake that many Bloggers make and walk away without promoting your newly published post. Now is the time to drive traffic to your blog. Take some time to learn about how o drive traffic from payed sources and free social media outlets.
