Hello Hive friends, I hope you're having a lovely day. It's morning, and I'm taking some time to get back to #dailydoodles. If you don't know what #dailydoodles are, I'll explain briefly: it's a moment of the day where I take a few minutes to reflect on any topic, and this reflection is always accompanied by a little doodle. Today's topic, as you can see, is curiosity.
Do you remember when you were a child and asked everything? What a wonder it is to keep that genuine and real curiosity. Curiosity was an invisible engine that drove us to discover new things, marvel at the unknown, and keep our sense of wonder alive. Without shame, we talked about any topic until we made the adults angry with so many endless questions. It is that curiosity that makes us look at the world with the eyes of a child, always ready to ask "why?" or "how?". Have you let go of that curiosity? When did you do it?
In my case, I try to keep my creative side alive by doing different activities in my daily life. I like to draw, make collages, and learn to use new computer programs. Each of these activities allows me to explore new forms of expression and keep my mind active and open to new possibilities, accumulating a great number of activities and challenges that I want to do and accomplish, even having to take some time to find relief in rest.
Sometimes, my projects don't turn out as I expected. For example, I tried to learn to play the guitar, and although I didn't become an expert and it didn't go well at all, I enjoyed the process a lot and gained good experiences from it. I learned to let go when you know you can't handle something, but I didn't let go of the curiosity to make music from strings. Through these failures, I have learned to value the journey and not just the destination. Curiosity to learn new things and skills has led me to unexpected paths, opening doors to knowledge and experiences that have enriched my life. I never thought I could make money with one of my drawings, and my curiosity led me to achieve some very modest earnings with this.
The beauty of curiosity is that it does not discriminate; you can apply it to any aspect of your life. Is my job monotonous? Perhaps it is time to explore new methodologies or learn a skill that takes me out of the routine.
But being curious is not always easy. Sometimes, adult life pushes us into comfort zones where curiosity can be relegated to the background. However, it is in those moments that we must remember that curiosity is key to our continuous growth. It keeps us young in spirit and invites us to be eternal learners. I want to wake up every morning with the enthusiasm of knowing that the day holds something new and exciting to discover. I want to ask questions and seek answers: "What if...?" and "How is that done?". I don't want everyday conversations; I want deep and meaningful exchanges, unafraid to ask and listen attentively.
No matter where you are in life, there is always something new to learn, someone new to meet, and a corner of the world you have yet to see.
I want to stay curious and keep exploring!
