Hello everyone~ I hope you're excited for this amazing second level of the butter basics series, it's the best because you're introduced to so many different cooking cultures and embark on a journey of flavors, it's quite an experience 😊.
😻THE COPY CAT🙀

This is probebly one of the few times I will ever recommend becoming a copy cat, though it is one of the basics of learning anything.
In this level you will learn how to follow recipes properly. Before starting you should download a cooking app to be organized with your recipes and for convenience , I recommend kitchen stories I've tried others and I preferred this one overall so check it out , if you don't like it feel free to search for other apps or look at YouTube cooking channels.
To become a cooking copy cat you must follow the recipe to the tea spoon.
To prepare for following recipes you need to:
- Understand basic measurements like kilos, grams, tablespoons, teaspoons ect.. , and how to convert them, its very important to know how much of what needs to go in a dish especially with baking, where a mistake in measurement could caust you. There is a converter on the cooking app but sometimes you need a more detailed converter or you have a hard time remembering them, these charts my prove useful.

Note: depending on the region the measurements may slightly differe.
- Choose a yummy looking recipe and skim through the ingredients and kitchen tools needed for it to prepare properly, as a starter go for something easy and simple.
- Finding alternatives, usually there are some ingredients that are hard to get your hands on, or you avoid it for relegiouse reasons it can be replaced with easier alternative, like I found that you can replace red wine with apple sided vinegar or grape vinegar , and with white wine with green grape juice and white vinegar, so instead of wasting your time looking for a spacific sauce or ingredient just use an alternative, it may not taste exactly the same, but trust me it will still taste good.
- One of the most important things in following a recipe is timing and temperature . Make sure that you have at least 3 to 2 hours of free time for a medium difficulty dish or even a simple dish, because most of that time will be spent prepping, usually a medium or easy difficulty dishes would take an hour if less to actually cook, it's really the prepping that's time consuming. When your cooking a simple dish NEVER leave the dish unattended, that could burn it or your house, for dishes that take longer make sure to set a timer and listen out for it. Pay attention to the instructions within the recipe for the timing of sertine procedures, That will determine the cuality of your dish.
.... Note: 🔥🔥If a big or small gress or oil fire acuiers ✖️🙅♀️DO NOT PORE WATER ON IT🙅♀️✖️ THAT WILL CAUSE A BIG FIRE JUST TURN OF THE GAS, AND IF IT CONTINUES SET THE POT OFF THE STOVE🔥🔥.
- Be patient, with your dish and yourself. You'll probably have a couple of failed attempts, if you don't good for you but if you do don't give up and try again. I remember failing a pancake around fifteen times I got so upset, and gave up. I thought that I wasn't going to make a nother pancake in my life, but around two years later I tried again and succeeded Allhamdulelah. It annoyed me to know how I had such a small mistake in the mixture that could've been easily fixed earlier on, that time I didn't give myself a chance to grow, so don't give up and give yourself another chance, you'll be surprised of how much you can do.
The Lemon chicken piccata one of my first attempts at following a recipe from the kitchen stories app🥘, I recommend that you try it out I found it to be a wonderful and convenient app to use #notsponsored, I hope you have a great day and have fun cooking bye❤️👋.
