Helium is a peer to peer decentralized wireless technology that provides longfi and 5g services to devices connected to the ioT network provided by Helium hotspots which are used to mine tye cryptocurrency Helium HNT. 

IoT or internet of Things is a network of different computers and devices connected together thru connections made in the network. 

Helium hotspots mine thru making connections to other devices connecting them to the network to make everything function the way it should and transfering data packages.  Helium is a massive network of over 200,000 peers sharing data and proving coverage of areas and are constantly increasing by the day.  This decentralized network coverage is used to connect devices at a cheap cost and is being used by many companies.  

The Helium blockchain was built from the ground up and can only proccess up to 2 transactions per second this is because it's purpose is to securely power global decentralized peer to peer networks.  Helium partnered up with Dish Network to bring peer to peer 5G to Dish customers it will make it possible for Dish customers to deploy their own 5G hotspots and earn HNT.
