Undoubtedly, we can start anew at any time of the year, but many of us like to ride on the momentum of a brand new year and make New Year’s resolutions so that we rid ourselves of bad habits and acquire better routines. Examples of crypto bad habits include looking at the charts too often, having a weakness of leveraging and making impulsive decisions that derail from your original plan. We resolve to be more intentional versions of ourselves.
Unfortunately, when the hype of the new year dies down, many of us revert back to our ineffective selves, giving ourselves excuses and relapsing into our poor habits. Of course, the fact that the holiday season has come to an end plays a part. We are back to the fiat mines - and balancing work with other responsibilities sap us of our headspace and energy.
So on this first weekend of 2023, I want to ask you if you have kept to your New Year’s resolution(s). As for me, my goal was to become an active and expert user of the Lightning Network. I just accumulated enough sats to buy a Bitrefill gift card yesterday - something new I tried in 2023! Now my current problem is to deposit sats successfully into my Phoenix. I don’t know why I can’t open a channel successfully despite sending over 10,000 sats to Phoenix. But I will hang on to the growth mindset and figure this problem out!
