I’m sure that you will agree with me that there is an amazing multitude of talents over here at Publish0x. As I spend more time here, I have come to realise that different bloggers have different things to offer, or what we may call “competitive advantages” in Economics. Some bloggers are adept at doing succinct and comprehensive summaries of trending crypto news. Others offer thoughtful technical analysis of the popular cryptocurrencies occupying our attention today. Yet others are obviously diehard fans of some crypto or other and advocate readers to HODL on to a specific crypto and not freak out.
So what is the X factor that I use to value-add to the readers’ engagement on Publish0x? Do I even have a X factor, this special ingredient that propels me to stand out from the truckloads of talents here? Well, I won’t say that I have arrived (yet) but I am increasingly coming into my own and will like to detail my journey in a systematic manner so that it may serve as a point of reference for my readers out there.
It all started when I resolved that I would blog at least once every day on Publish0x. I think setting such a lofty goal meant that I would not self-censor any ideas that came to my mind because my concentration was intimately focused on churning out a journal entry.
Since I had this Key Performance Indicator I had to meet every day, I then asked myself what I could blog comfortably about in the midst of a hectic day job and even more hectic parenting duties at night. What was something that I was already knowledgeable about? Because I lived in Japan for two years, I thought that I would share about my travel experiences in Japan. However, that even took up more time and energy than I had the reserves for, so I got the brainwave of marrying my day job and cryptocurrency. This was how CryptoSensei was born.
But of course, I didn't know exactly how CryptoSensei would turn out to be initially. I still remember adding a disclaimer at the top of my posts about how these posts were about my (mis)adventures as a teacher, they were not strictly linked to cryptocurrencies. I wanted to manage readers' expectations so that they wouldn't feel like they had wasted any time.
Having CryptoSensei in place must have set my subconscious into overdrive because I recently decided to introduce cryptocurrencies to my students in the form of comprehension passages. My students now suffer from saturated minds and empty souls and weary spirits from the stress of preparing for the greatest examination in their young lives so far, so I thought why not let them know about cryptocurrencies as a form of distraction. And so I did. And blogged about these comprehension passages here.
Then I thought, since I'm already introducing cryptocurrencies to my students, what's stopping me from exposing this idea to my two-year-old son? Needless to say, I struck while the iron was hot. I put together the letters for Bitcoin for him yesterday. My boy was astute enough to tell me that the small B and big B are identical. Well, one thing at a time. It all starts with letter recognition!

And ladies and gentlemen, this was how I arrived at my niche. I now want to create content aimed at introducing the marvels and pitfalls of cryptocurrencies to children. I will first start out at Publish0x and then try to come out with some e-books to sell on Amazon. I will work hard to turn this niche into a forte!
