Brave Crypto Wallets?

By Lameshark | CryptoRants | 20 Aug 2023

Late to the party as per usual, I decided to create my first ETH wallet today. After all, I need somewhere to transfer my crypto to. All 40 cents worth. In all seriousness, I have been enjoying Publish0x despite the incredibly low payouts: Afterall, the site is still in Alpha.

Once I reach the threshold to withdraw, I would like to have a wallet ready, especially for the ETH. Publish0x.com has a funny way of switching the cryptos in the wallets. So far, the whole time I have been here, they have used ETH: But, that could change at any time it appears. I would like to retain my ETH from tips because I have been studying ETH domain hosting and IPFS. This is something that I have been enjoying and will probably use in the future for a bigger project. That being said, let's focus on the Brave Crypto Wallets, which I recently joined. e2867886d4a502ae9eed139fa98ffc6ed91e1b3376991c6ca9ea58f7c8fd2fa0.jpg

Signing up for a Brave wallet was shockingly easy. I simply created a password and saved a series of words called a seed phrase. Pretty common stuff, but the Brave experience was very quick and easy. I was also delighted to see in the TOS that Brave is NOT going to access my wallet for any reason and the wallet is "self custodial". Can be creating a wallet really be this easy?! Of course, there are probably better options like cold storage, but this was really easy and I wanted to test the Brave Browser option for storing ETH.

My wallet has been created! It feels great to have an exit plan from Publish0x. Not because I think the website will fail, but just in case things switch from ETH like I previously stated. Plus, there are other blockchains/cryptos on this wallet. And the best part ... I can finally be one of those people who randomly link their wallets below their crypto blogs! Things are running very smoothly so far, which I would expect from Brave. It is an excellent browser in general, so I am not surprised! But, to be fair, I have not yet tested transfers etc. Hopefully the wallets works well in future endeavors.
