The Best RARE Conclave Arcana Reward Cards!

A few days ago, I shared some content about the best Common cards from the Conclave Arcana Rewards set. It was quite interesting because it allowed for an analysis of optimal card levels and strategies, while also sharing potential goals with the community regarding how to use Glint.

Now, the plan is to do something similar with the "Rare" cards from the Conclave Arcana Rewards set—with a slight twist: some of the cards I'll mention see heavy use in ranked matches. While looking at cards used in this game mode to improve my own deck, I noticed the Torrent Sniper appearing near the top of the list, followed by the Anchor-Hex Adept—a card similar in terms of stats and utility.

What makes these cards interesting is that, unlike others available only via the marketplace, they can be obtained in the Reward Shop using Glint—a token distributed to players during ranked matches. This makes it relatively easy to level up these Common and Rare cards, at least to their initial tiers, offering players a clear goal and insight into how to improve their decks using these cards.

It is also worth reminding players not to miss the chance to participate in the Survival bracket test event; it took place this season and looks set to return next season. The prize pool ranged from 100,000 to 250,000 Glint—a significant amount that goes a long way toward leveling up any card you might be eyeing from the Conclave Arcana Rewards set.

Torrent Sniper: Amazing Stats

The Torrent Sniper is a rare card that has seen heavy use in ranked matches—both in Wild mode and, I believe, in Modern while it remains in the current rotation. Players using the Frontier summoner in Modern benefit greatly from it, as they can secure a +1 magic attack bonus, allowing the unit to deal 3 damage right from the early levels.

I believe players favor the Torrent Sniper due to the unit's highly versatile kit. It is capable of dealing significant damage: it deals 2 magic damage starting at level 2, and 3 magic damage from level 6 onwards. Furthermore, the card boasts excellent stats for tanking, featuring 8 Health and 2 Armor right from level 1. It gains an additional point of Armor upon reaching level 4.

Having even a small amount of Armor enables the use of the Repair ability and synergizes perfectly with Kelya, who grants even more Armor to allies. Finally, regarding abilities: it possesses Snipe from level 1, allowing it to target enemy magic and ranged units, and gains Painforge at level 3. Painforge grants +1 damage when the unit takes damage from poison or burn, or is hit by an ally. With so many cards and rulesets now causing damage to allies, this ability is becoming increasingly valuable.

Anchor-Hex Adept: Earth Tank

Interestingly, the second card that frequently appeared in Splinterlands duels was the Anchor-Hex Adept. Its usage might not come as a huge surprise, given that its stats are extremely similar to the Torrent Sniper; it serves as a solid DPS unit with excellent durability once it reaches level 4 and gains Void Armor. It is essentially the Earth-element version of that same card.

The Anchor-Hex Adept functions somewhat more like a tank because, at level 2, it gains the Divine Shield ability, allowing it to ignore an opponent's attack once. Upon reaching level 4 and acquiring Void Armor, it effectively has a total of 9 HP, since—theoretically—no further attacks can penetrate the shield. I believe level 4 is one of the best tiers for this card, as it possesses both abilities; the next best milestone is level 6, where it gains 3 magic damage and reaches 10 HP.
