While thinking the other day about which cards from the Conclave Arcana Reward collection I could obtain using glint would be my favorites, I initially thought about the rares, but decided to really analyze each card in depth, starting with the commons. In this analysis, we'll see the best levels for each card and possible combos, with real examples of their uses in survival mode.
Taking a look at the cards is fundamental, even if it's not possible to choose the cards we want when opening chests, we have the draws that allow us to choose a rarity. Therefore, let's start by analyzing two interesting cards, Magmaforged and Stonebind Matron, which have been quite useful, but can still be better.
If you liked any of these cards, don't forget to check out the CONTENT about the Brack IV survival mode event, which will be awarding around 100,000 to 250,000 glint to participants, which will already help a lot in evolving the cards.
I'll be much appreaciated if you Votes, Reblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
Magmaforged x Sneak Combo
The first card I believe to be very valuable to seek among the common conclave reward cards is the Magmaforged unit card. The most interesting thing about this card is the ability it gains at level 3 called Pinpoint. This skill allows allied units that attack the last opponent with "Sneak Attack" to never miss.
What makes this card and this one good is their element. Several fire element cards focus on sneak and opportunity attacks, and knowing this, the opponent usually places a card with high speed for dodging in the last position, or some type of card that will be healed by heal or heal last position, or even a card with a lot of HP or a lot of shield, or both.
Thus, by using Magmaforged at least level 3, you can make a sure-fire combo with monsters that have Sneak Attack. However, there's a catch: I tried to perform this combo, and my Magmaforged was quickly defeated, which neutralized the effectiveness of my other monsters' attacks. Therefore, it's worthwhile to level up the card to gain more HP and speed to survive and make its effect worthwhile.
Moving beyond level 3, a good next level to aim for is level 5, where the Magmaforged reaches its maximum damage of 2 Ranged Attack. At level 6, it reaches 6 speed, which can be considered quite fast, allowing it to dodge enemy attacks. Finally, among the achievable levels, we have level 7, which might be the weakest because it also gains a return fire effect. I'm not sure if it's as good, though, because the card doesn't have much HP to stay alive and return the damage to the attacker.
Stonebind Matron x Triage & Heal Combo
The next common card from the Conclave Reward collection, in my opinion, is Stonebind Matron. The biggest difference from the previous card is that it needs to be at level 5 to start being good. It's only at its fifth level that Stonebind Matron gains the ability that makes it strong, Triage. This ability heals 1/3 of the maximum HP of a backline ally who has taken the most damage.
Beyond level 5, you can aim for levels 6 and 7 to give the card additional stats, making it dodge more quickly and survive longer with the extra +1 HP, but the biggest difference is only achieved at level 8, because it gains +1 magic attack, becoming much more interesting due to the opportunity and reaching 4 damage with the obsidian buff.
I've been using it a lot in survival mode, where the goal is to keep the cards alive as long as possible, because once they're defeated in battle, they become unusable for a while in that game mode. Therefore, having tank heal, triage, shield, and repair shield are great options for keeping your team alive.
In the match where I used Stonebind Matron, I like to use it in a composition with Obsidian because it gains +1 spell attack, reaching 3 at my current level. In addition, it keeps healing Mycelic Slipspawn every time since it has taunt and stays in the last position. In this combo, the psychic goblin heals the tank in front while the triage cards heal the taunted card.
