We are in the final week of Sunflower Land's main event: the Chapters. Every three months, this Web3 farming game receives a major update featuring new mechanics and objectives. Throughout this period, players strive to earn event tickets, aiming to either bid in auctions or exchange their tickets for one of the key SFTs at the Stella Shop as the event draws to a close.
With only a week remaining, most players have already gathered the necessary tickets and secured either an auction item or a Stella Shop item. The focus of this chapter—titled "Salt Awakening"—was the sea, introducing a new "Salt" mechanic to the game.
Participants in Chapter 14 (Salt Awakening) had a few key objectives over the three-month period. The first was to obtain the season's best mutant, the Salt Crystal Flower—a relatively simple task, given the massive number minted. Next, players aimed to collect enough tickets to acquire an item from either the auction or the Stella Shop. Finally, gathering tickets also earned points on the chapter track, allowing players to aim for Level 40—the highest tier on the track.

Sunflower Land: Was Chapter 14 Worth It?
The first player objective—one that relies heavily on luck—involves the "mutants." It is hard to know if you will manage to get even one of them during the entire season, as the odds of obtaining a mutant are not publicly disclosed anywhere. There is only speculation—for instance, that flowers with longer growth times or higher-level animals offer a better chance of yielding a mutant.
During this season, players who owned chickens had the chance to obtain a Flamingo Chicken, which reduces time by 2.5%—a rather underwhelming bonus. There were also fish collectibles available; while the standard versions were obtainable, the buffed versions were nearly impossible to get. Additionally, we saw the Spa Cow and Spa Sheep, indicating a clear "spa" theme for the event.
Finally, many players managed to get at least one Salt Crystal Flower; the drop rates for this item seemed extremely high—I even got a few myself. This high supply means the item will likely have a low market value, despite it being the best mutant in terms of its buff.
Regarding quantities, nearly 26,000 Salt Crystal Flowers were minted, followed by the Flamingo Chicken (almost 3,500), the Spa Cow (658), and finally the Spa Sheep (504). Those who participated in the event secured a great flower SFT for their collection; even if you weren't lucky enough to get one, the item's high supply suggests it will be very affordable on the marketplace.
Now, let's look at what players who actively participated in the event were really eyeing: the SFTs. Intermediate players focused primarily on either the Deep Sea Salt Cave Background or the Bubble Aura—both very interesting items, though they serve different purposes.
For players looking to level up their character's XP, sautéed fish are a great alternative, and the +5 Salt bonus is excellent for this. Keep in mind that during Chapter 14, all VIP players receive +2 Salt, though this bonus will end soon. Furthermore, with the new requirements for withdrawing Flower, finding ways to gain XP to reach level 100 has become increasingly important.
For those aiming to acquire seasonal fish, the Fish Market is essential for catching specific fish using bait; the Bubble Aura—which grants a 20% chance to catch an extra fish from the Fish Market—is a particularly interesting option. This is especially relevant given that the latest seasonal fish, the Nautilus, is currently selling for $28 due to the difficulty of obtaining these fish.
Regarding quantities, the Bubble Aura has seen a significant number of mints, reaching 688 so far. The Salt Background stands at 1,263 but will likely easily reach 1,600; since it has a higher mint count than the previous season's Corn Hair—and offers a less powerful buff—it is quite possible that it will eventually trade at a price close to or below that of the Corn Hair, which is currently 474 Flower.
Basically, this represents the cost of farming the tickets during the season—without even factoring in the time spent or the fact that the token was more expensive at the start of the season. The situation with the cheapest Stella Shop NFT is really tricky, as the supply seems to matter more than the item's utility.
Unfortunately, I think it's quite likely the same thing will happen to the Background as happened with the Hair—I managed to get a Background this season, too—but in a worst-case scenario, I can still use the item to gain +5 Salt and keep increasing my XP.
Finally, there are the auctions—something I haven't participated in yet because I always go for the Stella Shop. Generally, though, they are a bit harder to win than Stella items and start before the chapter ends. But one thing that is definitely attainable is the Chapter Track!
In this chapter, a goal for most players was reaching level 40 on the chapter track; it offered great value, was very easy to achieve, and included some really interesting items. The first item is the bed, which used to be quite hard to get. We also got a Pet along with the bed—whereas in the previous chapter track, the pet was placed at the very end of the track.
Besides these two main items, the chapter track gives between 200 and 300 tickets, which gave some coins, tool chests, some flower tokens, cosmetics, and there was an SFT with a buff, the Shrimp Onesie, which gave +1 random fish every 15 fishing attempts. It was very interesting, and the best part is that you could get it at chapter track level 25. For those who didn't get it, know that they were heavily minted, almost 13,000, so it shouldn't be expensive.
And now the final question: was the chapter worth participating in? Something I noticed is that there are several ways to get event tickets for little flower through bounties and missions, making the final NFT cost as low as possible, which ends up being almost the same as the marketplace price in the worst-case scenario.
In addition, by obtaining these tickets we earn chapter track points, getting the Shrimp Onesie NFT, Bed, and also the PET, not to mention the others. And finally, regarding the mutant, I ended up getting 3 Salt Flowers. And about the Season NFT, I got the Salt Background, which must have cost between 400 and 600 flower, because it has the buff items and also the delivery costs. So I think it's worth participating trying not to spend too much.
