[ENGLISH VERSION]
What is Survival Mode?

Survival Mode will be a new format in which all cards will be usable, along with automation tools and helpers, which will raise the difficulty level to the maximum since it is extremely difficult for a human to beat a machine if they have the same cards available. However, the difference with Wild, which can also use any cards, is that in this new format you won't need energy to play, which may lead you to think that you'll be able to play infinite games...

However, the limit won't be in energy but in the number of cards you have available, since in Survival Mode, as the name suggests, the survivor cards remain available to be used, but when one of your cards is defeated, it can't be used again. The point is that this card will be unavailable for use not only in Survival Mode, but in any other mode and even Tournaments and Brawls, so be careful not to run out of cards or they will be incapacitated like the Venari Marksrat Halloween version. This is because in this mode the cards are the energy, the limiter, the lock on the number of matches that the player can play.
This new game mode is expected to have its initial version in the coming months, that is, it is something that will only be added in 2025, since there is only one month left until the end of the year and in the post they say that it will come in “months”. Let's now address the pros and cons of this new mode.
Survival Mode x Pros

This mode, Survival Mode, will bring a change of perspective to the game, now instead of the player looking for the strongest card and sometimes in its gold version, he can think about looking for slightly weaker cards and in the normal version to have more “energy” to play more matches. Perhaps look for versions of the deck in smaller leagues, such as silver or bronze in quantity. This change in vision tends to create a demand for low to mid-level cards as players seek to be part of this new game mode.

In addition, what players of any game, be it Web2 or Web3, want is novelty, fun and something that attracts their attention, so regardless of pros and cons, the simple fact of having a new way for players to use their cards and a new game mechanic is already benefit because it generates curiosity in players to know how it works, form a strategy, etc. A game without news, without updates is doomed to the famous "Game Over"!
Survival Mode x Cons

While on the one hand this demand is good in the long term since it will allow a new strategy for the players' card collection, in the short term it may seem like a way to make the current playerbase double the number of cards and even though they are at low prices compared to their past value, it is still very expensive for any player to have copies and more copies of their current deck. For example, the Chaos Legion Diamond+ set, which is the cheapest set due to its high number of printed cards, costs +$600. This could end up generating some dissatisfaction since it is almost mandatory to have to buy more cards to participate in this mode, since until now the idea has always been to build a strong deck only, excluding collectors who have several copies.
Another point that can be questioned is whether this development of a new game mode could not end up compromising the progress of other projects that the team would be developing, such as Lands, or the New Player Experience. After all, financial resources are scarce so it is not to be expected that they would have taken this feasibility analysis into consideration before starting a new project…
