New features are always essential in any game, be it a multiplayer mmorpg or a single player RPG to defeat monsters. This would be no different in Splinterlands.
Because it is an online game and not a one-shot game, users expect developers to always be thinking about the next step and the next event that will come to the community. And while new features are being designed and built, the game's balance cannot be left behind. When bringing a new, stronger card, in the case of a card game, it cannot end up unbalancing the games' meta.
And speaking of news, a new event is coming to Splinterlands, the NFTs card game from the Hive Blockchain network. Summer has arrived in Splinterlands because the Summer Fun Event has just started, running from June 2nd to June 30th, bringing with it some Summer Fun Gift Boxes.
I'll be much appreaciated if you Votes, Reblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
Splinterlands New Event - Summer Fun!
There are several new features that came with the Splinterlands Summer Fun Event, such as an Energy Bomb and a new modifier, but let's start by talking about the Summer Fun Gift Boxes, which may be of interest to players. Among the items that can be found there are skins, packs, glint, energy and fortune draw in that famous metric of the more expensive the pack, the more items end up coming, one of them being different.
Starting with the types, know that we will have 5 different types of chests. Among them, the $25 chest called Generous Gift has an extra item which is a Spellbook Token that can be sent to a friend or used to unlock a new account to access the play to earn part of Splinterlands. For those who have someone they know who might be interested in venturing into the universe of Splinterlands, this pack could be interesting, as in addition to the token the user will also receive 4x Standard Packs or 16 starter packs, 4x Beach Bum Skins, 50k of Glint, 20 energy and 60 Fortune Draw entries.
It really is a wide variety of items and an interesting detail are the new skins that will arrive in this beach-themed set. There will be a total of 40 Beach Bum Skins that will be obtained through the boxes above, and there will be duplicate protection until the entire collection is complete. This would be perfect in several scenarios, because there are games where the player ends up with several repeated items and in the case of skins that are cosmetic and you can only use them once on the card, having them repeated would be a huge waste.
Furthermore, there will also be a chance to get the Tidebreakers skins in the event's most expensive boxes of 50 and 100 dollars, which will be much rarer due to the difficulty of obtaining them and the cost being much higher than the others. In addition to these two, there will also be some limited skins in the Sparks Shop and as a jackpot for the ultimate and minor chest.
Another novelty that surprised us is the creativity in innovating with an already known item, which is energy. Just like any other game with limited matches, Splinterlands also uses an energy system. The innovation happened with them adding a new item called Energy Bomb, which is the equivalent of 5 renewed energy. It is similar, but different to an energy, bringing newness.
