[ENGLISH VERSION]
New Leaderboard System
Source: Splinterlands - Leaderboard
The first new feature of the Splinterlands update is the change in the Leaderboard, with great rewards in Glint and more winners. Now, all players in the top 100 of each league above Wook (Champion, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Bronze) will receive a good amount of Glint at the end of the Season. The higher your ranking and the higher your league, the more Glint you will receive.
The rewards will vary greatly between the top and bottom of the ranking, but something interesting is that the reward will always be higher in the next league of the same ranking. However, if you go from the top positions of a league to the bottom of the next league, you will earn less Glint. At the same time, the player who does this will end up receiving less Glint and SPS per match, which may not compensate for being stuck in a ranking.
What to do with the extra reward from the Leaderboard?

With Glint rewards ranging from 2,500 to 1 million Glint, there is a wide range of items that you can purchase from Gwen's Glint Shop with this extra Glint that you will receive at the end of the season. For players at the top of the leaderboard, it will be easier to get the most exclusive items, which currently include titles.
For players in other positions on the leaderboard, this is a great opportunity to get Draws and Loot Chests to improve their Deck. It is also worth remembering that it is possible to get Energy from Loot Chests and directly from Glints, which means more battles and consequently, in the logic of 50% Winrate, more SPS to put into Stake, increasing the Boost and making the rewards loop even better.
Survival Mode is Here!
Source: Splinterlands - Survival Mode
A new game mode has arrived in Splinterlands to join Wild and Modern modes. In this mode, the player will be able to use all the cards in their collection, just like in Wild, but there is a big difference: when a card dies in Survival, it can no longer be used in Survival or in the other modes for a period of time.
To prevent your cards used in other modes from being used, it is important to create a set and remove the permission to use them in Survival Mode. Furthermore, Survival Mode will have its own SPS pool allowing players to receive the token with each victory, but Glint will continue to be rewarded in Wild and Modern modes, at least for now.
Impacts of Survival Mode on the Economy of Splinterlands!
Among the impacts of Survival Mode, the main one will be on the card market. Now, since cards will โdieโ for a while, players will need more copies of the same card to use the same team. Another detail is that card upgrades that were previously more secondary, such as Shield and HP Status, will be more valued in this mode because it can mean the card will survive another game for players who choose to go with a strong team.
Still, there was no major impact on the card market in terms of the number of cards sold, but in terms of volume, there were recently some peaks in volume on February 22, 24, 25, and 26. There was a small drop, but now on March 1, it started to rise again.
Community Feedback X Survival Mode
On X's profile,ย @goldmatters, he shared several opinions that players shared on the Splinterlands discord about the new Survival Mode, and it seems that all opinions converged on similar points. Among the comments, one of them highlighted that survival mode is stressful, while another said that his heart beat faster and there was a level of nervousness when playing, but another added to the feeling with the phrase โit feels more real, the battles mean something.โ
This shows us that the general feeling of the players is that Survival mode, because it has a โriskโ involved, which is not being able to use your card anymore if it is defeated in battle, represents a lot to the players and creates a stronger connection between them and the game, generating a tension that the other modes do not have because there is nothing to lose.
This new experience is very good for the game, because it will change the entire card economy. Some players will start to make collections to play in Survival, others will end up evolving their cards to avoid being defeated, and in the future we will have revive potions that the most hardcore Survival mode players will certainly use on their strongest cards.
