Splinterlands - Glint and Gladius Cards.jpg

A topic that I haven't commented on in my content for a while is the Deck Update with the cards from the Glint Shop and Gladius, so since I ended up collecting a lot of GLINT and MERITS, that will be the theme of this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge. First, we'll address the strategy for spending Glint, then we'll see if it really came out as expected.

Also, since I haven't opened the Gladius Cases for a while, I decided to open 24x Packs and share what was interesting and the best upgrades I was able to make! If you are collecting glint or want to know more about the Glint Shop, come see!

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

What is the Strategy for Improving the Deck?

It's always good to start by reminding those interested in the most effective way to use Glint that the most straightforward answer possible is: IT DEPENDS. If your question is where to spend 2000 Glint, I believe that buying 2000 Merits every season is quite interesting because you are getting a parity of tokens 1 Glint = 1 Merit, thus guaranteeing a Gladius Case since they cost 2k Merits.

Now when it comes to Chests and Draws, it will really depend on what your objective is. If your goal is to perhaps go after the Jackpot, then the Ultimate Chest is the one that has the best chances for the cost of Glint. However, if you are looking to improve your deck, you will need to analyze based on the level of your Archons which cards still need to be leveled up until you reach the maximum level that you can use them without losing efficiency because your Archon starts to limit the level of your card.

Opening Chests in the Glint Shop: 100x Minor & 60x Major

In my case, looking at the level of my archons, I realized that there were still some Common and Rare cards missing that needed to be leveled up. With that, I decided to start using Glints by exchanging them for 100x Minor Chest, since I basically lacked 1x Elf Wild, 2x Ujurak Elder in the common ones, as far as I remember. The result was not very surprising, coming mostly from common cards and a few rare ones, without anything incredible. Even the upgrade in the two mentioned cards made it increase only 1 HP.

So, since I already got the commons I was missing from the Minor Chest, the next choice was to go to the Major Chest, getting 60x chests. With the rewards that came with it, I was able to level up two essential cards. The first was the Dark Arborist, going to level 4 where it increased its magic attack to 2, which makes a good difference. Furthermore, the Skypire Leopard also reached level 4, gaining the Void Armor ability.

In the Major Chest, unlike the Minor Chest, in addition to completing the objective of getting rare cards to level up my deck, I was lucky enough to get 3x Ujurak Brave Gold Foil and two incredible gold foil copies of Night Reaper, which is a great epic card to be used in battles with a lot of mana. These two gold foil epics made opening the chests very worthwhile, because a single gold foil epic card in the Glint Shop is worth 125k Glint.

Upgrading Gladiator Cards!

Finally, we had the opening of 24 Gladius Cases, where luckily we got the amount of cards needed to upgrade 3x different Gladiator Cards. Of interest in this pack opening was an epic card - Gorth, which is not used very often, 2x gold foil cards from Katrelba Gobson, which, despite being common, is very strong and widely used in Sneak comps. Finally, we got one of the best legendaries, Tatiana Blade!

As for the upgrades, I believe the Highlight goes to Whistling Damon, who at level 5 got the skill Pearcing, which goes very well with the rest of his Sniper and Bloodlust skills, allowing him to attack and pass through the shield of theoretically weaker units and thus get Bloodlust more easily. Also, we leveled up Alva who got retaliate and a normal rarity Katrina Gibson for level 5 where she gained Snare, becoming the number 1 enemy of flying units. These improvements will help in Brawls!
