This week, in the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge, the theme is about tips that can help the Card Game community. So, I decided to share with the community a little about the Epic Cards from the Rebellion Rewards collection, presenting 3 cards that are very strong for low-mana battles, but that have a certain Twist that makes them a problem for the allied team. Come find out more about the epic cards from the Rebellion Rewards collection!
I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
[ENGLISH VERSION]
Rebellion Epic Cards x Low Mana Battles
The cards from the Rebellion collection were added to the Glint Store reward options not long ago and among them, the Epic cards from the collection stood out for having great stats already at level 1 and having a low mana cost, becoming strong options for battles with little mana available.
However, some of these cards have abilities that are actually a type of debuff so that they don't become extremely strong and are balanced. Therefore, since debuffs usually occur from turn 1 to turn 2, it is important to focus on ending the battle as quickly as possible, focusing on maximum damage. On the other hand, if you are playing against this type of card, you can try to bring more tanky and healing units to last longer and with that the enemy debuff itself will defeat you.
Halfling Refugee
My favorite card from the Rebellion Rewards set is the Halfling Refugee, because it has good stats in general, great HP (6), 2 melee damage and 3 speed. Also, it is a Neutral card which makes it possible to use it with any other element. It is a card that is extremely flexible due to its low mana and neutrality, making it always a cost-effective tank option in duels and a great tank option for low mana battles.
But with so many positive points, the developers need to balance the card by adding the Weary debuff ability, which has a chance of becoming exhausted on turn 1 and this chance increases with each turn until it reaches 80%. When the card becomes exhausted, its turn is skipped. But it ends up not being a big problem, because it still serves as a tank.
Shock Trooper
My second favorite epic card from the Rebellion Rewards set is the Shock Trooper, because it has a level 1 magic attack that few cards have in the entire Splinterlands, making it a very good card for low mana battles, since it can eliminate a good part of the cards. Along with its attack, it has a good HP of 5 and a medium speed of 3, making its overall stat very good for 4 mana.
But with great power comes great debuffs... Having such a strong magical attack, its debuff has to be strong too, which is why its electrified ability makes it so that from round 2 onwards, all allies suffer 1 damage each round. Therefore, if you are going to use this type of card, try to end the battle as quickly as possible.
Kha’Zi Conjurer
Like the Shock Trooper, the Kha’Zi Conjurer has an extremely high attack (4) already at level 1, but costs half the mana. Its lower amount of mana for the same amount of attack is because the ranged attack has more disadvantages when compared to the magical attack, such as not attacking in the first position and being stopped by the opponent's shield. This is probably the card I use the least, because I usually use melees in the fire element and rarely a ranged unit, but for range rules with the fire element it is a great option.
However, even though it is a worse attack, 4 ranged attacks, with 4 HP and 3 Speed for only 2 mana, it would still be extremely strong, which is why, like the others, it has a debuff ability to balance the card. Its Incendiary ability causes it to start spreading a burning status at the beginning of round 2, causing the unit to lose 2 HP.
How to get more Epic Cards from the Reward Rebellion Collection?
For those of you who are interested in the new reward cards from the Rebellion Collection and would like to know where you can get them, it's very simple. Just go to the Glint Shop, which is on the right side of the battle screen, or by going to the top menu in Shop, then Rewards.
When you get to the Glint Store page, you will have the option to try your luck in the Loot Chests (Minor Chest, Major Chest, Ultimate Chest) to get one of these Epic cards mentioned above, but the chances are low and you may end up spending a lot of Glint to get a single card. There is another option which is to go straight to the Epic Draw, which guarantees an Epic card from the Rebellion Collection for 7500 Glints, with a chance of coming in gold foil. This way, you avoid getting other cards that you are not looking for and can complete your collection more accurately, without depending on Lady Luck!
