Splinterlands - New Campaign Mode.jpg

The theme of this week's Splinterlands Community Challenge is the new game mode, Campaign Mode. It is a tutorial within Splinterlands itself, which aims to teach new players step by step how the game works through books, where each chapter would be a lesson of some content. With that, the first book is an introduction to the Waur Medge academy, in which players will learn a little more about the game's battles in 11 chapters. But before that, we will also address the importance of Campaign Mode for Splinterlands. Come and find out everything about Splinterlands' new game mode!

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

The Importance of Campaign Mode!

Splinterlands is a TCG game that brings the idea of players dueling in a battle by summoning units through cards. However, because it is a web3 game, the level of difficulty to perform functions that are even simple ends up rising to the next level, which for a casual TCG player, can present some difficulty.

Furthermore, over time, more features were implemented, such as Lands, which expand the game's ecosystem beyond battles, and the entry and exit of tokens used in the game, such as Vouchers and Glints. All this expansion of the ecosystem and a certain complexity in the game's economic system are a great challenge for any new player arriving at Splinterlands for the first time.

Therefore, a tutorial that gradually taught how the entire game works was something that was always eagerly awaited by players, because there was no easy way to understand everything directly. Players had to actively search for content that would help them understand the game, join the discord and start asking questions and asking for tips.

Now with the addition of Campaign Mode, a detailed tutorial has been created and added directly into the game, which will greatly facilitate the onboarding of new players to Splinterlands and is well aligned with the goal of making a large marketing campaign that aims to find a new audience. Perhaps even the most experienced players can take advantage of Campaign Mode to review their knowledge and see if they haven't forgotten anything...

Campaign Mode Book 1: Waur Medge Academy

Campaign Mode will work on a system of books and chapters, similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender where the seasons were books and the episodes were chapters. Here, book 1 of Waur Medge Academy aims to introduce new players to the game's PVE battles, with each chapter presenting a new lesson. In chapter 2, for example, the lesson is about Card Types, which can be Archons and Units.

Some details I would like to highlight is that everyone, even older players, should participate in at least the first lesson / chapter 1, because only then will they understand the great immersion that the design team managed to create. The setting and structure of the content divided into classes taught by teachers and the idea of a magic academy bring a very Hogwarts feel, but for the Splinterlands universe, the soundtrack and the characters' voices fit very well with the whole proposed setting. Another funny similarity is that Headmaster Bimbelnok reminded me a bit of Dumbledore from the first Harry Potter films.

The Campaign Mode Rewards!

When you complete a chapter in a Campaign mode book, some rewards are distributed. The first is a soulbound card called Foundation Card, which can be used in battles with some observations and also a bit of Glint that will help newcomers to Splinterlands to buy their first cards in the game. I wonder if in the future we will have more ways to earn Foundation Cards?
