SPLINTERLANDS 💥| Battlemage Secrets - Earthquake! [EN/PT-BR]

By RiCrypto | CryptoMinute | 25 Feb 2024

This week's Battlemage Secrets was about the EarthQuake rule, where ground monsters take damage every turn, so the advantage goes to the flying ones. In this battle you must consider the continuous damage and avoid it at all costs.

Come and discover more about this ruleset and the strategies to combat it. Also, let's talk a little about how these battles will change drastically after the 29th. Maybe the meta will be different there...

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

📌 RULES // MATCH 📌

Image from thread

Source

When the amount of mana is high for the match, then the strategy needs to consider using the best monsters available, the strongest. In this specific battle, only 3 elements were enabled: Water, Earth and Death. So the options were a little limited, but I have some high level monsters in Water, so I chose that element.

About the Rules of the match, as mentioned in the title and introduction, the highlight was Earthquake, which causes damage to all non-flying units every turn of the match. This damage dealt is of the melee type, so you can use monsters with Shield or that have the Shield ability to mitigate the damage.

In addition to this option, we have the classic strategy of using monsters that fly, but we can also use strong monsters with high HP, because they can cause a lot of damage and eliminate opponents before falling. Furthermore, you can also use cards that benefit from taking damage and being defeated.

⚔️ ABOUT THE LINEUP ⚔️

Image from thread

Source

There are cards that benefit from taking damage and being defeated as I mentioned, and one of them is Venari Marksrat that both teams used to give +1 status to adjacent units when it is defeated. This and other Martyr cards are great to use when the ruleset causes some damage to cards, or forces monsters to attack a position such as: Sniping or Sneak.

My opponent was more concerned about not taking damage or defending himself, but I preferred to choose high HP monsters to deal with the damage and magical DPS like Djinn Oshannus and Nerissa Tridawn, to defeat his monsters quickly, before lose my monsters. With that, I did more damage, while he did no damage with Gargoya Lion and Xenith Monk for example. A positive point of using Kelya is that it grants Shield Status that holds back an Earthquake hit.

👊 HOW WAS THE BATTLE? 👊

Initial ROUNDS

At the beginning, buffs are applied, which means that both teams, having Kelya as a summoner, gain +1 Speed and 1 Shield status. This makes my Runemancer Kye reach 4 Speed and with Flying it makes it possible to dodge a lot.

ROUNDS Middle

In the first round, the Raider - enemy tank - is defeated by magical attacks, preventing him from removing Kye's shield. In the second round, the shields hold back the first damage caused by Earthquake, which is interesting from Kelya. This turn Gargoya Lion becomes the tank and holds a lot of Hits due to Void.

Final ROUNDs

The Gargoya Lion managed to stay alive and withstand the attacks of the Djinn Oshannus and Nerissa Tridaw, but as soon as he was defeated in round 3, the magical attacks were enough to defeat the rest of the enemy team who no longer had protection against it. , guaranteeing victory. What also helped was that Venari died and passed Martyr to two monsters, while his didn't.

In round 3 the majority were defeated, leaving Kye and the Xenith monk, so the match was already decided.

🤔 CONCLUSION 🤔

Source

As I briefly commented above, I believe that what helped me a lot was the opponent's positioning error, in which he remained until the end of the battle without attacking with his Xenith Monk, waiting for a Sneak attack that never came. Furthermore, because my venari was low lvl, the hp was lower, which guaranteed two monsters to receive Martyr. Furthermore, after the opponent lost his tank with voi, 5 magic damage was enough to pass through all the other monsters.

In this match I won a cool amount of SPS 0.92, as the token has been rising in the last day following Bitcoin and I also received a lot of RP, so overall it was a good match.

The battles could soon end up being very different from what we saw, because on February 29th the level limits on cards will be removed, allowing you to use cards of any level only being limited by the level of your summoner.

The meta as we know it is changing a lot, so be prepared especially with summoners, because they are disappearing from the market. An example is Quix, which only has 13/14 cards available.

Obrigado e boa leitura! 🍀

📌 REGRAS // PARTIDA 📌

Image from thread

Image from thread

ROUNDS Iniciais

Image from thread

ROUNDs Finais

Image from thread

Source

Image from thread

Source
