This week's Battlemage Secrets will be about the Counterspell ruleset. This ability makes life very difficult for the game's wizards, because when they attack they receive damage in return. So what will be the solution in this case? I tried to go to Kelya, but it didn't work out very well...

What would you use if your game had the Counterspell ruleset? Would you force it using magic attack? Would you focus on archers and Melees? Or would you make a mix? Leave your strategy in the comments.

I'll be much appreaciated if you UpvoteReblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

📌 RULES // MATCH 📌

Source

As shown in the thumbnail and introduction, the ruleset for this match is called Counterspell. As the name suggests, it is a rule that serves to counter teams of wizards, who are very strong in the game, because they can get past the armor and attack directly on the opponent's life. In this rule, magical attacks return damage to the mage in the proportion: Damage/2. A good combo option in this situation is to have a tank with the amplify ability, because the damage returned is increased, eliminating potential mages quickly.

This is a rule that reminds me of the "Expelliarmus" spell from Harry Potter, because it basically disables the wizard. In this rule, the idea that most optimizes your team is to use melees and archers and knowing this, it is interesting to have a tank with the Shield skill or with a high armor status.

The problem is that as the battle was only 12 mana, there was no way to choose many cards for the team, either it was a strong tank or some dps, which in my case, going with Gobalano and Uraeus, betting on Sneak. However, the opponent seemed to have anticipated this, using Fiend and Stonefish in the backline hoping for a possible Sneak since fire was available.

⚔️ ABOUT THE LINEUP ⚔️

As the counterspeel rule penalizes mages, the idea was to bring a sneak team, focusing on sneak attacks in the backline. For this, I used Gobalano Soldier and Uraeus, which, when buffed by Tarsa, gain +1 Melee Attack. However, by doing this I sacrificed the option of having a Tank since the mana was low.

On the other hand, my opponent came with an interesting composition, with a heal tank, which gains +2 HP every turn and as the mana is low, it is difficult to have monsters with high attack and he also came with a Tide Biter that plays the role of an off-tank carrying out a good attack with 2 DPS and has a good amount of HP.

👊 HOW WAS THE BATTLE? 👊

ROUND 0

The initial turn of buffs and debuffs is now also the turn of the ambush. The match starts after Tarsa's +1 Attack and HP and Tarsa's +1 Speed and Shield, with the Gobalano Soldier taking the Fiend's Shield.

ROUND 1

In Round 1, Radiated Scorcher is eliminated by attacks from Xenith Monk and Tide Biter. Leaving my team with -1 monster. On the other hand, I eliminate the Fiend and leave the Stonefish unshielded. You can see how the shield has given the enemy team a chance to survive.

ROUND 2 to Final

From here it started to go wrong, because I lost the last tank and my DPS Sneak was in first position, losing its function. On the other hand, I only defeated Stone Fish, that is, from then on the opponent will defeat my monsters one by one.

🤔 CONCLUSION 🤔

Battle Vision

What made this battle difficult was Kelya's combo with the low mana monsters in the backline, because they held back many attacks from my monsters, due to Kelya's extra shield. It would be interesting if the fire element had some low mana monster with the Rust ability to take away the shields and attack directly.

I did a simulation putting the Fiend in front of the DPS and it still lost, so the strategy could actually be much better, perhaps putting a tank to last longer. At least it would gain a 10% chance with the Fiend in front, but it would give it a chance to receive Sneak attacks.

Então qual será a solução nesse caso?

ROUND 1

No Round 1 o Radiated Scorcher é eliminado pelos ataques do Xenith Monk e do Tide Biter. Deixando meu time com -1 monstro.

ROUND 2 to Final

Image from thread

Battle Vision
