It is very likely that in today's Splinterlands update, on June 30th, the new voucher cards will arrive at the Exclusive/Voucher Shop. With this in mind, it is interesting to analyze a little more in depth how this card sale will work by looking at the prices, the cost of the voucher and the benefits. Furthermore, before even thinking about the cost, the most important thing is to understand the cards themselves. Therefore, we will also seek to understand the best levels of each card, the famous cost-benefit, the combos in which they can be used and of course the statuses and abilities of each card cannot be missed.
Regarding the sale of the cards, the price of the voucher cards and the chances have already been announced. For those who haven't checked it out yet as we are undergoing maintenance and haven't read the post with this information yet, you can check it out here. The cards sold will be in common, rare and epic rarities, and in the previous sale the last rarity was legendary with Lorn. The common card will be Krowl Brightbane costing 25 vouchers ($0.23), the rare card will be Vethos Spineclaw costing 100 vouchers ($0.92) and finally the epic card will be Taark Nightbloom 250 vouchers ($2.3).
I recently made a comparison between buying from the voucher shop and the marketplace, if you want to check it out, click on POST. Briefly, if you are interested in trying your luck at getting a Gold Foil or a Black Foil, you can get this chance by purchasing the cards in the voucher shop, but there is a higher cost for this. If your goal is to only have a few copies of the cards, then it may be worth waiting for them to arrive on the marketplace. What some players do is buy the card in the voucher shop, put it up for sale in the marketplace if it has a price similar to the cost of the voucher shop, and with that they try to get a higher rarity, sometimes selling it a little lower.
I'll be much appreaciated if you Votes, Reblogs or give any Tips. Thanks and have good reading! 🍀
Krowl Brightbane
Now let's check out more details about the cards, starting with the common rarity card. In my opinion, among all the arts, Krowl Brightbane's was the best of all, because it's like a warrior with a dragon aura behind him. Notice that his attacks are 2 ranged damage at lv2, which is as if it were his main attack, and it is only at level 8 that the card's second magical damage comes.
The interesting thing about this is that the ranged attack is the main one and you can see that the unit has a type of bow in its hand (ranged atk), and in the background there is a magical aura that could be a representation of the magical attack.
The interesting thing is that the combination causes the bow to have some type of ability which is precisely the Dispel that the card receives at level 5, which by the way is one of the best levels of the card, as it will only receive the next ability at the last level. In addition to this, level 2 is also interesting because it receives 2 ranged damage, only changing the card's damage again towards the last levels. The problem with level 2 is that the card doesn't have a good amount of HP and only average speed.
From level 5 onwards, when the card starts to have a considerable speed of 4 to 5 and an hp between 6 and 8, it becomes a little more resistant. As the card is an archer, it's worth remembering that a large part of the damage, half, ends up becoming useless when it reaches the first position, so keep that in mind. Furthermore, it is a dual death and dragon card, with a mana cost of 8 and now with the issue of bloodlines it is worth mentioning that it is a Canisan.
Vethos Spineclaw
Next in rare rarity, we have Vethos Spineclaw, a melee dps of the water and earth elements with mana cost of 5. From level 1 it has an average attack of 3 melee damage with 6 and HP and 4 armor which is interesting to withstand a little damage. Furthermore, with the Apex Strike ability it is very likely that it can attack from other positions, even if it is not a melee, which makes it a very versatile card.
And as I mentioned now with the issue of bloodlines, being a Rodentian type card and having the ability bloodline pact, it can be a great combo, because it will give extra power to allies of the same bloodline and as it is very resistant, this bonus will be applied for a long time. Finally, the Deflect skill is very useful when the match rule or the opponent uses Blast.
Taark Nightbloom
Now the last card is one with a low mana cost, being only 4 mana. This card is Taark Nightbloom, a melee attacker that has a very unique combination of life and death elements, being complete opposites. This question of opposites is well represented in the skills, where at level 4 you gain Flame Fed, which means that the unit, instead of losing life when entering the burning state, gains +1 HP at the beginning of the turn.
Continuing in this duality, at level 2 with 4 bcx, you gain the shatter ability which, with sneak, allows you to directly attack the last unit and break its shield. But the curious thing is that in addition to breaking, at the last level (6), this Treefolk unit gains Protect, giving armor to allies. This makes it a unit that, while protecting with a shield, attacks by breaking the opponents' shields.
