Rebranding
- The first play-to-earn game server in Minecraft emerged as a great promise. However, Mojang, the company behind the game, on July 20th banned all integrations with blockchain and NFT technology related to its game Minecraft. She did not agree to be tied to an NFT game, which led to the NFT Worlds server ending. But that seems to have changed!
- Later, ArkDev the co-founder of NFTWorlds shared with the public that they would start a new project called Topia, which we now know as Hytopia.
Hytopia
- The game promises to be an improved version of Minecraft, with improved graphics and integration with web3, having its own network, the hytopia chain that has been operational for months now.
- It will have its own marketplace and another detail is that you can play through the browser, there is no need to download the game like Minecraft.
- The beta is scheduled for the end of 2023, so there is still plenty of time to register :)
Economy / Marketplace
- The marketplace will be acessible in lots of platforms and also in-game.
- Creators: will receive royalts everytime an item is sold at the marketplace.
- The players will receive rewards from the creators:
- Receive an item for achievements, milestones or roles unlocked;
- Sell lootboxes;
Pre-Register
- Pre-register guarantees you a unique username, which can later be sold on the marketplace. But remember not to take the name of someone famous, because Hytopia has the right to hand over names to their true owners.
- Additionally, you can win an exclusive lootbox that contains cosmetic items to customize your character. But it's also an NFT, so you can trade or sell it. Your lootbox will be delivered when the beta begins.
