Even a seasoned vet like me gets scammed every now and again. It usually comes from me trying to get one over on somebody on a trade, trying to take advantage of a perceived inefficiency. I can tell you, when you put out that kind of energy, you put yourself in the small, shitty world of the scammer. And you deserve what you get.
Human nature hasn't changed one bit since Satoshi's gift. Most people in this space are still pieces of complete shit, scamming left and right. Then you have the government trying to take your profits while providing no help with the scammers. Zero. Scammers on all sides.
Don't pay any of them. Stay away from the piece of shit dirtball scammers by never attempting to "get one over" on anyone. If you see an inefficiency somewhere, or someone about to lose a lot of money making a mistake, better to inform them than try to take advantage. I guarantee you it will come back on you, and I don't even believe in karma. It's not karma; it's your attitude leading you down a path that puts you around scum. And if you're around scum, you're going to come up scummy.
On Chain Gaming has a video where he details going to Gala Games meetup and getting scammed out of $100,000. They targeted him, got him drunk, and got him to "invest" $100K in some garbage. What's more, he didn't even know about it days later, because he made a video about it encouraging other people to get in it. He actually made a follow up to the shit. He hasn't even gotten it yet.
That said, shit can happen to anybody. And guaranteed if I see any scammers at events, that'll be the last time they scam anyone.
