Rango is the first and most intuitive UX that integrates multiple aggregators (e.g. 1Inch) with multiple X-Chain solutions (e.g. Thorchain) to provide best liquidity and optimized path in a secure and easy-to-use solution. Rango support 43 chains with over 1.6 Billion dollars in trading volume. It support best price with ulimited liquidity, fee optimization, smart routing and accurate estimation. It has superior user experience with no KYC required, non-custodial, all dexes into one with intuitive and elegant design. It support 43 and growing list of blockchains all cross-chain with all in your own wallet.
What is Rango?
Rango exchange provides a versatile API that helps dApps and wallets get free from hassles of connecting to dozens of blockchains, tracking transactions, verifying third-party providers, etc. The whole idea behind our API is to make it the easiest possible solution on the market.
The API consists of just a few endpoints that have abstracted away a very huge amount of complexity in the server's side, such that making a fully-working cross-chain dApp over cosmos, Ethereum-based blockchains and UTXOs is a piece of cake.
Rango currently supports around 40 blockchains as the source or the destination, including multiple Cosmos-compatible blockchains, Ethereum-based L1 & L2, Solana, and traditional UTXO as BTC, LTC, BCH, etc.
At the current stage, we might only return 4 different types of objects which support all these blockchains. The client doesn't mostly need to do any modifications to the response and should just send it to the wallet.
These four types include:
EVM Transaction: If the source of a step is an Ethereum compatible blockchain including Ethereum Mainnet, BSC, Avalanche, Harmony, Fantom, etc. we return an EVM transaction that contains a hex data and value that should be directly passed to the wallet to execute.
Transfer Transaction: If the source of a step is a UTXO blockchain that supports simple operations like transfer, a Transfer type of transaction is returned that contains the amount, symbol, destination wallet address, etc.
Cosmos Transaction: If the source of a step is Cosmos-based [Including Akash, Osmosis, Terra, Binance Chain (BNB)], then the result will be a Cosmos transaction that contains a list of Cosmos messages that should be passed to a wallet like Keplr.
Solana Transaction: It covers different models of transactions needed for Wormhole, Jupiter, and etc.
Rango Exchange as a Cross Chain Bridge
Rango.Exchange can be used as a Cross Chain Bridge between 40 some odd chains. In my example, I used it to swap out USDC from Fantom into USDC on Matic chain. I had to approve sending USDC transaction from Fantom with FTM gas. Then I have to approve FTM gas for actual sending of USDC tokens. After few minutes my funds appeared on Polygon chain. Do not forget to select the Polygon chain from Fantom chain in order to see the USDC transfer. If you do not have USDC added as a token, go to coinmarketcap and select the USDC token address in Polygon and add it under import section of Metamask wallet in Polygon chain. The beauty of Rango Exchange is similar to Bungee bridge is that it knows how much receiving chain has in terms of liquidity. It tells you if it has liquidity and percentage of slippage. If you see large slippages it tells you that you will be experiencing large slippages. It will ask you are you sure to continue with the bridging? I would not continue with that token if slippage is greater than 1%. I would switch to a more liquid token such as a stable coin like USDC as appose to BTC or other exotic tokens. I notice on Wormhole bridge, I would bridge my tokens and there is literraly there is no liquidity on other side. So I end up losing gas fees to re bridge my tokens back to original chain. The other Bridge I prefer is Celer bridge. Link is provide below.
Rango Exchange as a Swap Dex
Using Rango.exchange can be use as a DEX for any chain supported. Just like a normal DEX design for that chain. Think of it as Spookyswap for Fantom but it can be used for any supported 43 chains as of shooting this video. If you have not swaped once, you have to approve the token first with gas fees. Then approve the swap in the next transaction with gas fees. You can do native chain on chain swap for all 43 supported chains. That is the power of Rango exchange.
Rango Airdrop
Rango Exchange has decided to allocate 15% of the airdrop allocation to the Second Retroactive airdrop, which starts on March 20th and will take a Snapshot on October 31st 2022. If the total volume of transactions exceeds what we expected, we will change the allocated percentage.
- Trade on Rango. The formula of this airdrop will be based on volume and frequency.
- Follow our Twitter and retweet our airdrop pinned post.
In conclusion
I like the fact than Rango.exchange supports 43 some chains as of shooting this video. It also support multiple other tokens per chain. That is very convinent. I do not have to Swap other tokens into normaly bridged token such as a stable coin like USDC or USDT. It also has built in DEX support where I do not have to switch to native dex based on Chain if I have to swap tokens within same chain to a more supported and liquid token. I also like the fact Rango Exchange has Airdrop for usage as well as affiliate levels as well.
