Recently, I have been a little disheartened to see that Presearch hit a bit of a slump, since using the search engine is one of the ways that I generate my very modest crypto income. However, today/tonight I noticed that instead of receiving 0.1 PRE for every search I performed, I was receiving 0.06 PRE. (I've performed nearly thirty searches today, looking at recruitment companies/organisations and sending them my CV.) A little confused/uncertain as to why I wasn't getting the usual amount, I took a visit to CMC to see how much my ~125 PRE is worth.
I am happy to report that although I am getting a little less PRE per search, PRE seems to be climbing again, based on looking at the CMC chart. It's definitely too early to tell, but I wonder if it's going to climb back to its previous high point (and perhaps beyond) or if it's going to slump again before reaching it. Either way, it doesn't really matter; I'm about an eighth of the way to having the requisite one thousand (1 000) PRE needed to withdraw it into my Atomic wallet and convert it to CRO or Cosmos (ATOM).
In other news, I think my Netbox wallet is faulty. It seems to be stuck processing a block about six days ago, despite me running the wallet directly and using the "Tools" menu to instruct it to update/sync. Perhaps it is time to backup my wallet's keys and try a clean install. For best results, I'm going to do a fresh OS install/downgrade, since my laptop isn't really coping with Netbox and FF running simultaneously on Windows 10. If that doesn't help, then I'm going to abandon Netbox as impractical until I can afford a beefy mining rig with more RAM. (The CMC chart shows that it's on a long downward trend, anyway, so perhaps I should abandon it and see if I can figure out the mystery of why I can't earn BAT with Brave.)
I intend to try mining Raptoreum and Ravencoin to see if it's worth my while. That, however, is a long way off as to practically be pie in the sky.
"That's all well and good", you might think, "but WTF is Raptoreum and why mine it?"
According to the Raptoreum Website:
"[Raptoreum is] A secure and ASIC/FPGA resistant Proof Of Work Cryptocurrency that also allows for asset creation, futures, and smart contracts, while remaining resistant to 51%/double spend attacks."
