Good day everyone,
I hope you are all well and had an excellent weekend while enjoying the FA Cup Final, welcome to CryptoGod-1’s blog on all things sports. The showpiece match from the FA Cup between the two Manchester clubs went as many expected, but nonetheless provided plenty of entertainment.
Man City 2-1 Man Utd
Gündogan x2 - Fernandes
The quickest goal in FA Cup Final history arrived after 12 seconds when Gündogan struck a sensational volley from 25 yards. The goal came from a long ball up the field which Haaland knocked down and Gündogan seized the opportunity. City were on top from there, putting United under plenty of pressure. Haaland toyed with Varane, while the Norwegian put an effort wide and De Bruyne did similar. United looked dead and buried but they got the opportunity to draw level when Grealish was judged to have handled the ball in the box. Up stepped Bruno Fernandes on 33 minutes to slot home and give his side a lifeline.
City came back out after the break with their usual determined attitude and on 51 minutes took the lead once more, and once again via Gündogan. De Bruyne sent in a free kick and Gündogan met it with just enough power to send it beyond De Gea. City continued to dominate the ball but United did have their rare chances, as Garnacho and Rashford both put efforts wide. United very nearly drew level in stoppage time as Varane saw a looping header hit the bar, while McTominay could not force home the rebound.
In the end it was City's trophy to add alongside their Premier League title, but to add injury to insult, United missed the chance to stop City matching their famous treble from 1999. They will be hoping Inter can do the business when City face them in the Champions League final, otherwise that famous achievement will no longer belong to Manchester United alone.

I hope you enjoyed the game and look forward to the upcoming Champions League final before the club football ends. There will be plenty of transfer rumours and gossip to follow over the summer, and before we know it the Premier League will be back.
Have a great day.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
