Predictions
Now for the most exciting part, as I go through the latest info regarding each team to make an attempt at predicting the results for this weekends matches. Remember this is just my fun analysis and should not be taken as advice or a guarantee.
Wolves - Leeds
Marsch will be hoping to inspire his side to their first back to back wins of the league campaign this season after securing his first victory as manager last weekend. Wolves meanwhile continued their impressive season with victory over Everton last time out, having lost three straight matches to Arsenal, West Ham United and Crystal Palace before picking up two wins in a row. Lage's team are five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal having played three games more, but have struggled for consistency at home, winning six, drawing two and losing six of their 14 league matches at Molineux. Leeds are just four points from the drop, and have struggled away from home this season having managed just 10 points from 14 matches. Wolves will be without Semedo and Hoever, while checks will be needed over Neto and Hwang. Leeds will be missing Firpo, Hjelde, and Roberts, while Phillips and Cooper are back in training. With Leeds struggling on the road and Wolves in a strong push for a top six or seven finish, I expect the home side to win this game 2-0.
Aston Villa - Arsenal
Both these sides suffered defeats last time out, as Gerrard's side went down 2-1 to West Ham United last weekend, while Arsenal lost 2-0 at home to Liverpool during the week. Villa's three-game winning run, which included three clean sheets, before the West Ham loss has seen Gerrard's men cement their position in the top half and give them real hope of a top half finish. They have however struggled at home, having gone four games at Villa park without a win before beating Southampton. The gulf in class showed between the Reds and the Gooner's on Wednesday, as Liverpool turned on the style in the second half. Arteta saw his side's five game winning run come to an end, but they remain in fourth with games in hand over the teams below them. Villa will be missing Digne and Hause, while Luiz and Chambers are also doubts. Arsenal will be without Tomiyasu and may make changes with a 72 hour turn around between their fixtures. Villa will try take advantage of the energy Arsenal exerted against Liverpool and hope it will be to their advantage, and due to this I think Gerrard's side can get themselves a point at home with a 2-2 draw and Coutinho pulling the strings for Villa.
Leicester - Brentford
The Bees have shown a great turn in form since Eriksen has started playing for them to leave them 8 points clear of the drop, and will be hoping to make it three wins in a row when they travel to the King Power. The Foxes have three games in hand on most of the teams around them, including Brentford, but will not be in the race for top four this season thanks to the 11 league losses they have suffered. They are still in the Conference League and progressed to the Quarter Finals on Thursday evening. They have managed to win six, drawn three and lost four of their 13 league games at home so far this season. Brentford have managed to pick up points in in half of their 14 away games this season, and will hope to continue that against a team they have not beaten in all competitions since 1953. The Foxes will be without Vardy, Castagne, Evans, Ward, Bertrand, and Albrighton, while Ndidi and Soumare are doubts. Brentford will only have to contend with Dasilva missing as he is still suspended. While the Bees will be fresher, I think this game will finish as a draw with both sides giving their all. Brentford will look to capitalize on Eriksen's technique at set pieces along with Leicester lack of defensive ability to get a goal, and because of that I can see this game ending 1-1.
Tottenham - West Ham
This will be another big battle in the race for top four, as Spurs managed a 2-0 win over Brighton during the week while the Hammers progressed in the Europa League against Sevilla. These sides will start the game level on points, with Spurs on great form having scored 13 times across their last four Premier League matches. West Ham will be elevated if not tired from their Thursday night exploits, but are writing history for their club with their European adventure. Form is against the Hammers, who sit above Spurs on goal difference, as their last three away games in all competitions have ended in defeat. Spurs will be missing Sessegnon, Skipp, and Tanganga for this encounter but have no fresh injury concerns. West Ham will remain without Ogbonna, Coufal, and Bowen for this clash. While West Ham will be elevated after their European exploits, I think Spurs will have too much for them in this game. Conte's side will make the most of home advantage and with Kane on a hot streak in front of goal I can see this match ending 2-1 to the home side.
Have a great day, I hope you enjoyed the preview of the matches and get to see the games over the weekend.
Peace. CryptoGod-1.
