Predictions

Now for the most exciting part, as I go through the latest info regarding each team to make an attempt at predicting the results for this weekend. Remember this is just my fun analysis and should not be taken as advice or a guarantee.

Arsenal - Newcastle

This weekend will see Eddie Howe finally get to sit in the dugout. having missed what should have been his first game in charge due to Covid-19. Newcastle showed heart and spirit to get a draw last weekend, while Arsenal came crashing down to earth at the hands of Liverpool. Arteta has a young side and they have their moments, but also show their vulnerable state with playing out from the back. The speed of Newcastle up front mixed with their goal-scoring threat could see big numbers in this game. I expect Ramsdale to be the hero for Arsenal again, and keep them in this game while keeping Saint-Maximin out. A tight game even though the table would suggest otherwise, Howe getting his team playing on the front foot. It's still early days for the "rich" Newcastle so I think Arsenal will scrape a 2-1 win at home.

Crystal Palace - Aston Villa

Two young managers come head to head in this match, two tough and talented midfielders back in their day now facing off in the dugout. Both managers have shown they like to play a controlled style with possession and a tight defence key to their style. This will be a tight game, like a game of chess, where each team slowly tests the others resolve. I think the second half is likely to come alive, as is often the case with Palace this season. We saw how Villa hit Brighton on the break and finished the game at the death last week, so both teams will most likely be tight and compact and take off as the clock winds down. A very tough call, but I'm back Villa to sneak this 1-2.

Liverpool - Southampton

The midweek victory for Liverpool coupled with giving some key players a rest or subbing them off early should do Liverpool a world of good heading into December. Southampton meanwhile has been very impressive against the top sides this season, getting draws away to United and City. Their style allows them to maintain formation under pressure and attack on the break, something we have seen Liverpool susceptible to this season in their draw with Brighton and loss to West Ham. That being said I would expect Liverpool to be back at their best, with their main stars returning to the line-up and Salah once again on fire. I expect a high-scoring game, with Liverpool winning at home comfortably with a 3-1 scoreline.

Norwich - Wolves

In his first game in charge, Dean Smith showed why this Norwich side can compete. They are on a wave of two wins on the bounce and will hope to make it nine points from nine. Wolves meanwhile are the in-form team currently, having picked up sixteen points out of their last twenty-one. This match will tet the consistency of Bruno Lage's team, but he is getting his style across to his players. They tend to score one goal and ride out the result, which signals a low-scoring game in my opinion. It's difficult to separate these sides, and I believe this game will end in a 1-1 draw.

Brighton - Leeds

Both of these teams had quite contrasting starts to the season, with Brighton flying high and Leeds languishing. Brighton will play an attractive style here, but Leeds have shown they can alter their style and still produce the goods. Injuries have hampered Leeds this season but they are well equipped to catch teams on the break, and with Raphina potentially returning they will look for his skill and class to unlock this Brighton defence. Villa showed last weekend how to catch Brighton on the break with a solid defensive display, and I expect the same approach from Leeds. Brighton will likely find more space against Leeds in this match than they did against Villa, and this should help them carve the opposition open. Another tough call, but I will back Brighton to win 3-2 at home.

Brentford - Everton

At the beginning of the season, Everton looked the real deal under Rafa. Unfortunately for them injuries have hampered their progress and go into this match as underdogs. Brentford has dropped off from their excellent start also, but as a newly promoted side, that was expected. No wins for Everton from their last six coupled with the fact Calvert-Lewin, Doucoure, Richarlison, and Doucoure will be out unavailable really shows the task ahead of the Toffees. Those four are the main scores for this side, and with them I expect Everton to continue their struggles. Brentford are showing why they were so underrated at the beginning of the season, having lost four of the previous five matches in the league. Ivan Toney will fancy his chances to show what he can do against Englands No.1 goalkeeper and I expect him to score, with Brentford winning at home 2-0.

Burnley - Tottenham

Tarkowski will be out for this match, and Burnley will miss his solidity at the back. Their solid displays in defence are never the same without him, which will be a big warning to the fans knowing his contract is up at the end of the season. Spurs meanwhile will be looking to put the humiliation of their Europa Conference League failures to bed. Conte will not be happy with his side showing on Thursday night, and I expect a big performance from Spurs to make up for that. This will be a physical encounter but SPurs should have enough, and I believe the final score will be 0-2 for the away side.

Leicester - Watford

The Foxes are really a shadow of the side which won the FA Cup last season. They are sorely missing Tielemans in the middle of the park, but their inability to finish off chances along with their porous defence is a cause of concern. Has Rodgers taken them as far as he can? They came up short in their previous two attempts at top-four finishes and will be nowhere near there this season. One clean sheet in their last eighteen matches is telling. Ranieri is a hero in Leicester and will receive an appropriate welcome, having won their only Premier League title in 2015/16. In this match, he will look to show them what they are missing, and his Watford side will push hard and look to exploit the wide spaces to get in behind. It will be tight, and I think this game will end in a 1-1 draw.

Man City - West Ham

The Hammers have shown they can match the best this season, having won their Europa League group and beaten Liverpool and Mac City (in the cup) this season. Their impressive displays from last season have continued and they will hope to continue a push into Europes elite competition with a top four finish this season. Their ability to attack in quick counters will see West Ham create chance and put this City team to the test. Barring another dismal performance like against Wolves last weekend, they will have the belief of getting something from this game. City meanwhile, off the back of beating PSG midweek and showing that Mbappe, Neymar and Messi are not unstoppable, will be thinking otherwise. It all depends on which teams actually show up, but I think as much as West Ham will push hard, City should win at home with a 3-1 scoreline.

Chelsea - Man Utd

This will be the game of the weekend, with Rangnick expected to be announced as Man Utd manager on an interim basis over the weekend. Most likely he will not be able to take charge, with Carrick continuing in his role, but it will give the Utd fanbase much to look forward to. They will be up against a robust and tough to penetrate Chelsea defence, but I imagine Ronaldo will be purring knowing he will be managed by a master tactician soon. Carrick showed he likes progressive football with the midweek win over Villareal, but this is a different test altogether. Tuchel and his side just don't concede and are outperforming every team in this area. Their wingbacks love to get forward and not just create but also score. United's defence has been a shambles so I can see Chelsea tearing them apart similar to how Liverpool did. It will be a tight game in parts but overall I can see Chelsea running rampant and winning this match 3-1.

Have a great day and enjoy the games over the weekend.

Peace. CryptoGod-1.
