Unbound Nation has Temporarily Suspended its Activity

As stated on the official Discord server, Unbound Nation has temporarily suspended its activity, both on the "renting" and "lending" sides.

This means that it is currently no longer possible to rent NFTs, nor to lend your NFTs to other players.

The announcement mentions a temporary measure, but it is easy to guess that this "temporarily" may very quickly turn into an "indefinitely."

The reason behind this decision is alleged to be the unsustainability, at present, for such a project, as there are not enough high-quality games - I was just talking about it here - that can make NFT rentals sustainable and profitable.

The only good news in all this is that the site allows players to withdraw their NFTs, so there is no danger of losing your collection.

Speaking of which, I already got my Gods Unchained NFTs back, and they are again visible on sites like tokentrove and playable ingame.

The platform has, thus, proved its reliability to the last, without harming players in any way: this makes me even more sad about them ceasing their activity, especially since I personally was enjoying the site a lot and I definitely couldn't complain about the small income it was bringing me.

Although these are indeed only a few dollars, there's to consider that, compared to the value of my collection (about 0.05 ETH), the rewards of a few weeks represented a profit of about 5%, with an actual ROI far higher than the one advertised.

I don't know if this was due to some bug or not, but at this rate in a year I would probably have earned about 50% of the value of my collection... and that too joins the reasons that lead me to regret this site, even though I only knew it, and used it, for a short time.

Now my GU NFTs are once again gathering dust, unused in my account, waiting to find a new option.

Unbound Nation ha Temporaneamente Sospeso la sua Attività

Come riportato sul server Discord ufficiale, Unbound Nation ha temporaneamente sospeso la sua attività, sia per quanto riguarda il lato "renting" che quello "lending".

Ciò significa che al momento non è più possibile noleggiare NFT, nè mettere i propri NFT a disposizione di altri giocatori.

L'annuncio parla di un provvedimento temporaneo, ma viene facile pensare che questo "temporaneamente" possa molto velocemente trasformarsi in un "indefinitamente".

Alla base della decisione viene addotta l'insostenibilità, allo stato attuale, di un progetto simile, non esistendo un numero sufficiente giochi di qualità - per l'appunto ne parlavo proprio qui - capaci di rendere sostenibile e proficuo il noleggio di NFT.

L'unica buona notizia, in tutto ciò, è che il sito consente ai giocatori di prelevare i propri NFT, per cui non c'è alcun pericolo di perdere la propria collezione.

A riguardo io ho già provveduto a rientrare in possesso dei miei NFT di Gods Unchained, che risultano nuovamente visibili su siti come tokentrove ed utilizzabili ingame.

La piattaforma ha dimostrato, perciò, fino all'ultimo la propria serietà, senza danneggiare in alcun modo i giocatori: questo mi fa ancora più dispiacere per il cessare della loro attività, anche perchè personalmente mi stavo trovando più che bene con il sito e non posso certo lamentarmi del piccolo introito che mi stava generando.

Seppur infatti si tratti di pochi dollari, c'è da considerare che, in rapporto al valore della mia collezione (circa 0.05 ETH), le ricompense di poche settimane costituivano un guadagno di circa il 5%, con una ROI effettiva di gran lunga superiore a quella pubblicizzata.

Non so se questo fosse dovuto a qualche bug o meno, ma a questo ritmo in un anno probabilmente avrei ottenuto un guadagno pari a circa il 50% del valore della mia collezione... e anche questo si aggiunge ai motivi che mi portano a rimpiangere questo sito, sebbene lo conoscessi, ed usassi, da poco tempo.

Adesso i miei NFT di GU sono nuovamente a prendere polvere, inutilizzati nel mio account, in attesa di trovare una nuova soluzione.

Come sempre terrò gli occhi aperti, ma se qualcuno conoscesse già un qualche sito affidabile e dal funzionamento simile ad Unbound Nation me lo faccia sapere nei commenti!
