2 Legendary Cards that Keep Eluding Me

In every set there are always some cards that are stronger or more versatile than others: Quora Towershead in the Gladius set or Doctor Blight in the Chaos Legion set are two good examples, as they are cards that alone can make the difference during a fight thanks to a combination of stats and abilities that tend to make them particularly effective in many different scenarios.

One of my goals, as an active player on Splinterlands, is therefore always trying to get my hands on these cards so that I can have an advantage against my opponents or, at the very least, play on an equal footing.

This is of course not always possible, because the strength of these cards often also implies that their cost is especially high: Doctor Blight for example is a card I do not own because, although I have very often lost to him, I have never had enough funds to buy him.

The cards of the Gladius and Rewards sets are thus for me a golden opportunity, because they allow me to acquire extremely strong cards without having to spend money, but just relying on the RNG...

The RNG

Yep, the RNG... my most bitter enemy in video games! When it comes to relying on luck, no amount of begging is going to help, and RNG always manages to throw me off, as if I've offended it in some way 😂

My bad relationship with the RNG is not limited to matches played on Splinterlands, where my cards are constantly affected by drunkenness and fail to hit the enemy or dodge an attack not even by accident, but also when opening card packs...

It is therefore not surprising that in both the Gladius set and the Reward Soulbound set I found all the Legendary cards, many of them also in multiple copies, except for three cards only, two of which are - obviously - among the absolute strongest cards in both sets.

Fina Voxom

Starting with the Gladius set, these are the Legendaries I own:

A series of remarkable cards, but which, except for Tatiana Blayde, do not often find a place in a game.

Who am I missing?

Obviously the best of all - along with Tatiana Bladye - i.e. Fina Voxom!

A truly formidable card, which greatly increases the effectiveness of the Fire element in battle.

The combination of bloodlust, opportunity and piercing abilities allow this creature to shred through enemy lines and its synergy with Tarsa is undeniable.

Having it would be a nice upgrade for my team... but the RNG doesn't seem to agree 😅

Kulu Mastermind

Let's move on to the Rewards set, where I own almost all the Legendary cards playable in the Modern Format:

... except for two:

• Musa Saline ( whom I actually have on another account, @wolf-lord)
• Kulu Mastermind.

This second one is a very strong card that's played a lot in the Water element, thanks to its killer stats that, combined with abilities like opportunity, weapon training, and shield, make it an almost mandatory choice in a lot of rulesets.

Yet even this card continues to elude me 😅

The RNG is therefore denying me two cards that could make the difference in a lot of my matches, be it a brawl played with the EDSF Guild or a ranked game.

Unfortunately, in these cases there is not much I can do except keep my fingers crossed and hope that, at some point, luck will assist me and allow me to finally get my hands on these two coveted cards!

2 Carte Leggendarie che Continuano ad Eludermi

In ogni set ci sono sempre delle carte che sono più forti o versatili di altre: Quora Towershead nel set Gladius o Doctor Blight nel set Chaos Legion sono due ottimi esempi, trattandosi di carte capace da sole di fare la differenza durante uno scontro grazie ad un connubio di statistiche ed abilità che tende a renderli particolarmente efficaci in molte situazioni diverse.

Uno dei miei obiettivi, come giocatore attivo su Splinterlands, è quindi sempre quello di cercare di entrare in possesso di queste carte, così da poter avere un vantaggio contro i miei avversari o, quantomeno, giocare ad armi pari.

Ciò non è ovviamente sempre possibile, perchè la forza di queste carte spesso comporta anche che il loro costo di acquisto sia particolarmente alto: Doctor Blight ad esempio è una carta che non possiedo perchè, sebbene abbia molto spesso perso contro di lui, non ho mai avuto abbastanza fondi per poterla acquistare.

Le carte dei set Gladius e Rewards sono quindi per me ogni volta un'occasione d'oro, perchè mi consentono di entrare in possesso di carte estremamente forti senza dover spendere denaro, ma solo affidandomi al RNG...

l'RNG

Già, l'RNG... il mio più acerrimo nemico nei videogiochi! Quando si tratta di affidarsi al caso, non c'è scongiuro che tenga e l'RNG riesce sempre a sfavorirmi, neanche l'avessi offeso in qualche modo 😂

Il mio cattivo rapporto con l'RNG non si limita alle partite giocare su Splinterlands, dove le mie carte sono perennemente affette da ubriachezza e non riescono a colpire il nemico nè a schivare un attacco neanche per sbaglio, ma anche all'apertura dei pacchetti di carte...

Non sorprende, perciò, che tanto nel set Gladius quanto nel set Reward Soulbound abbia trovato tutte le carte Leggendarie, molte pure in più copie, eccetto solamente 3 carte, di cui 2 sono - ovviamente - tra le carte in assoluto più forti di entrambi i set.

Fina Voxom

Cominciando dal set Gladius, queste sono le Leggendarie che possiedo:

Una serie di carte notevoli, ma che, salvo Tatiana Blayde, non trovano spesso posto in una partita.

Chi manca a me?

Ovviamente la migliore di tutte - insieme a Tatiana Bladye - ossia Fina Voxom!

Una carta davvero formidabile, che aumenta di molto l'efficacia in battaglia dell'elemento Fuoco.

La combinazione delle abilità bloodlust, opportunity e piercing consentono a questa creatura di fare a pezzi le linee nemiche e la sua sinergia con Tarsa è innegabile.

Averla sarebbe un bel upgrade per la mia squadra... ma l'RNG non sembra essere d'accordo 😅

Kulu Mastermind

Passiamo al set Rewards, dove possiedo quasi tutte le carte Leggendarie giocabili nel Modern Format:

... eccetto due:

• Musa Saline (che in realtà ho su un altro account, @wolf-lord)
• Kulu Mastermind

Questa seconda è una carta fortissima e molto giocata nell'elemento Acqua, grazie alle statistiche da paura che, unite ad abilità come opportunity, weapon training e shield, la rendono una scelta quasi obbligata in tantissimi rulesets.

Eppure anche questa carta continua a sfuggirmi 😅

L'RNG mi sta quindi privando di due carte che potrebbero fare la differenza in molte delle mie partite, sia che si tratti di una brawl giocata con la Gilda EDSF, sia che si tratti di una partita classificata.

Purtroppo in questi casi non c'è molto da fare, se non continuare ad incrociare le dita e sperare che, ad un certo punto, la fortuna mi assista e mi consenta di mettere finalmente le mani su queste due agognate carte!

E voi avete qualche carta che vorreste tanto avere ma che l'RNG si rifiuta di farvi trovare?
