Prospectors New Ways

By Jelly Fish | cryptofun | 15 Aug 2020

I didn't write anything about Prospectors game since March. Actually, I simply had no time to give enough attention to the game. Meanwhile the game has changed a lot.

The game devs work pretty good rolling out new features every now and then. They added new resource types, new tools and new buildings. They introduced "education system" and "professional diplomas". The game rules have changed significantly so that the in-game economy could resemble the real world economy more closely (at least, so the devs say). As a result, the game has become more complicated and requires much more time that before.

I'm not going to describe all changes in detail here, but only the most interesting for me.

Chronologically, the first one is Prospectors State Share (PSS), "a token that allows you to get your share of passive income from contributing to Public projects". That is, when you make jobs for or sell something to Prospectors "state", you earn those PSS, which are supposed to bring you some dividends from the "state's" incomes.

The first and so far the only "Public project" was the Railroad (more on it below). I've got about 5K PSS at Yukon and about 6K PSS at Wild West doing construction jobs at the Railroad. It's supposed that now I have a share in the Railroad's earnings and should receive some gold or PGL or whatever those earnings are. Now the Railroad works, but so far I haven't receive anything from it. I don't know why, maybe because my "passive income" from 5K PSS is small to nothing...

The second thing is the Railroad between Yukon and Wild West. Now, with the Railroad, you can transfer your stuff (everything except gold and buildings) between the regions. E.g. you mine coal at Yukon, send it to Wild West, sell it there for better price, buy tools for cheaper prices and send them back to Yukon. The Railroad charges transportation fee, that where the PSS dividends are supposed to come from.

Besides, both Yukon and Wild West railway stations provide "personal warehouses", that is now even homeless players have more storage space for free!

And the third thing today I love the most is Yukon Central Bank deposits! Before PGL deposits (or "staking" if you will) were available only at EOS-based Wild West. The payouts were like ridiculous 1 PGL per 10K PGL (if I'm not mistaken it's around 3% p.a., which suspiciously resembles me EOS "staking" with REX etc.). A couple of days ago PGL deposits became available at WAX-based Yukon too -- and the payout was like 100 PGL per 10K, imagine that!

Currently the rates go down, now it's like 80 PGL per 10K, and I thing it will go down even further, considering 9M PGL being currently deposited at Wild West and only 0.5M PGL at Yukon. In other words, staking PGL at Yukon still looks pretty good, but it will not last long -- so grab the moment!

That's all for now from me, folks.

If you neglected the Prospectors for like three-four months -- go and check it yourself, the game has really changed a lot.

"Disclamer" bullshit.
