Gamified Money

The longer I've been watching the crypto-sphere and namely its cryptocurrency area (and I've been watching it pretty closely since 2017 hype, at least), the more I've had some vogue feeling that I must have known a right word to describe what's going on there, but couldn't find that word in my English vocabulary.

Then one day, out of a sudden my thoughts on the crypto-sphere made me recall The Zero Theorem by my favorite Terry Gilliam. I thought I've already seen there the right word, not in the movie's ideas, but in its visuals:

I thought as hard as I could, and at last I found the right word -- gamification.

Yes, the cryptocurrency sphere goes more and more gamified over the (recent) years.

I remember how in the early 2000-s I was studying account statements of shitty companies whose high-yield junk bonds I was going to buy. Today do you need to know accounting to "invest" into some DEGOMeme or Harvest?

Anyway, I don't want to put any negative connotation into my gamified crypto money phenomenon. C'est la vie, as they call it in France. However, I believe the phenomenon does deserve thinking over.
