7,6 Quadrillion % APR ?!!

This morning I went to Pancake to see what's new there. And it was there indeed!

A staking pool with 7.6 quadrillions % APR !!!

No, it's not Photoshop magic. Holy shit...

It was a "single coin TPT pool" -- stake TokenPoket token and earn Cake. As far as I could understand TPT (a native token of TokenPoket wallet) went BSC recently, and that Pancake pool was a kinda celebration event.

I quickly swapped some pennies into about 80 TPT and staked them in the pool.

Guess what? My 80 TPT were actually counted there like 80 quadrillion-th (i.e. like 0.0...080) TPT

Clearly, it's a bug somewhere in the pool's contract.

It may look like just a funny accident -- but think about the devs deploying buggy contracts that are supposed to "trustlessly" manage millions of users' crypto... Besides, it's not the first time, the Pancake guys had a similar "APY accident" with their "COMP pool" before.

Again, it might be not that important if we stake like 80 TPT (about 5 bucks in today's prices). 5 bucks is something nearly anyone can "afford to lose", after all. The real problem is that in DeFi it's necessary to stake pretty large amounts (say, $5000) in order to have some real earnings without betting on "governance LP incentive tokens" shit pumps. Personally, I wouldn't stake even $100 in a place where the devs deploy buggy contracts without prior test runs...

I still keep my 80 TPT (or it's now 80 quadrillionth TPT only) staked at that pool. Let's see how much I will earn at the end of the day.

UPD. The guys finally fixed their quadrillions, now APR is "only" about 300% and my 80 TPT are still in place.
