China will issue its CBDC by the end of 2020, it will be necessary to understand the effects on the cryptocurrency market

Rumors and rumors about the launch of the Chinese CBDC are becoming more and more insistent, although there is still no official date many say they are certain that within the next three months the Chinese central bank will issue this new instrument; in an interview given today to CNBC, Edith Cheung, partner of the venture capital fund Procha of Capital, stated that the launch could take place in May 2020, or at least by the end of next year. Given that there are no certainties and that to have an official date we will have to wait for a statement from the Chinese central bank, it is reasonable to think that the new CBDC will make its appearance by the end of 2020, which, however, does not mean that it is of course. Certainly, in all this history, there is very little, the launch date is not certain, the effects that this new tool will have on the cryptocurrency market are uncertain, practically nothing is known about how this new currency will work. More than mere indiscretions, which leave the time they find, it is interesting to mention the geopolitical implications that the issue of a Chinese CBDC brings with it, Cheung has declared that:

"I really think the United States should hurry; have a strong thought and policy, at least a direction for the virtual USD "

While President Xi's statements continue to hold up the hype regarding the blockchain industry, many Chinese members of the community are attempting to make it clear that this does not imply customs clearance of cryptocurrencies, which indeed the Chinese government continues to see as purely speculative assets; many Chinese accounts, these days, are sharing local press sources which show that the Chinese government's rhetoric on cryptocurrencies is not too dissimilar from that of Western governments, although it is impossible not to notice that Beijing has stopped explicitly attacking bitcoin and, indeed, practically the Chinese newspapers, in criticizing the cryptocurrency industry, do not even mention it anymore. In short, even if China, from what we learn, has not changed its orientation with respect to cryptocurrencies, it has certainly changed its approach towards blockchain technology and shows that it wants to adopt a dialectic that is at least softer in comparison to bitcoins. Suffice it to say that while up until just six months ago it seemed that the country wanted to ban the mining industry today there is explicit talk of regulating mining and some accounts, which I personally consider to be well informed, report that state companies could also break in in the world of bitcoin mining; clearly it is difficult to say whether this is true or not, we are always within the scope of the rumors, to have certainties, as mentioned, we can only rely on future, hopefully imminent, official news.
