Ronin restarting L2 on Ethereum Blockchain

Ronin restarting L2 on Ethereum Blockchain

Those who know Axie Infinity or ever played the game I am sure you know of the ronin blockchain. And I am sure you have known how the SkyMavis thrived with the new games coming to the chain. However they had to compete with others on the Ethereum chain. And they were feeling the heat of not being on chains like Ethereum.

So they have now decided to migrate back to the Ethereum. And in 2026 they would finish the migration and the chain would be in the L2 of the Ethereum blockchain.

What are the benefits of such chain coming back to the Ethereum? I think the biggest benefit for their infra would be mixing with other Ethereum tools and the chain. And they would get more price for their token. Rather than being isolated in their own chain.

And another part is that it would benefit they mixing with the services and give and take that would happen along the way. That would surely benefit of the blockchain. This is something we have to learn along the way. This is what I have been learning and how the chain can make a difference in the design of the payments and also the digital assets of the game that are being deployed with Ronin.

There are also grants out there for the app and the game builders to migrate on their chain.

In the grand scheme this would be a good news. And also this can make sense going long term. They would make more money and burn less in the grand scheme. They can use polygon or the optimism and they would bring some good results as well.

Let's see how the migration and the adoption of the Ethereum L2 works for skymavis and ronin chain.
