Ethereum was ignored a lot last few years. And mostly the floor was under control of the BTC. Which is reasonable like look at the price for the BTC since last few months. And the way price of all the top 10 crypto tokens you would notice that need the attention like Solana, Avax and the ETH needs to be into funds around the world to get a boost. 

Franklin Templeton has written a paper on the Ethereum and it's value in the market. And it shows you how they are likely to be investing into it as a digital assets. You can read the paper here. 

Ethereum is a good blockchain and in near future it is going to be bloated and need more L2 options. As the funds get created on the Ethereum and L2 get more popularity this would be a new direction for the project. In grand scheme you can see that Franklin Templeton would be risking on it for the long term. 

What this means for the people who hold ETH? Keep holding and let it grow. Who knows it would increase to such a price that when you sell it would make you good returns like BTC has in the market as of now. I think more investment firms join with the etheruem, solana and the AVAX. This would make the market keep moving and not get stuck on prices for years.
