ZK proofs are hot. And they are kind of being developed for most of the chains. Ethereum has it, Bitcoin also does not want to left behind. So the people are coming out to develop into the bitcoin layer too.
Bitcoin is going to get the zk proofs through BitSnark proof. And this requires the verification layer through smart contract and this is where the Bitcoin OS come into the play.
It is open source project and it’d make it easier for you to zk-SNARK proofs to run on Bitcoin core layer. This is a good direction for the blockchain as Ethereum like work would be possible on the Bitcoin.
In july the team revealed on the twitter about the BitcoinOS project. And turns out the first smart contract was confirmed run on the chain.
There is also the bitcoin explorer that is going to verify the Bitcoin ZK Transactions and like any other chain there is going to be a verification.
Bitsnark has made the permissionless upgrades possible. And things would be lot easier as this has gone the opensource. And the project source code is being open on the Github. Let’s see how the project grows from here.
