Many crypto projects are collecting the data without taking the permission from the users before collecting and reusing it. Some of the data also on the blokchain makes it unreliable to trust. Worldcoin which is based on the optimism chain stack is now making the worldchain and data under it. However worldcoin and worldchain collected data without consent too. 

So there are some of the legal watchdog companies and the companies which sided with the EU regulation and they want to bring down the non consented data. 

Worldcoin in past made partnership with variety of companies with incentive and free perks. And they collected a lot of retina and the thumb data. And turns out that is not a good direction for the public data where they wanted the results to be kept private but it seems apps would use such data for the growth too. 

This in short has shown that the govt around the world including the german any other eu or outside EU takes action on the worldcoin is legit. So it's kind of sad to see how the worldcoin has been struggling on this front. In grand scheme I loved new way to stop worldchain and worldcoin from forming data leeching on web.
