Australia has the most scams when it comes to crypto. Compared to any other nation. A lot of people who are on the retirement zone are being fallen to such scams. And not only that there seems to be rise in the adoption of new young people adopting crypto but doing scams and the crimes around the same. 

Australia made a mistake to allow the crypto ATMs before they could give legal nod to the crypto in general. So now it is becoming harder for them to hold the monitoring on the ATMs and the illegal transfer of funds. 

So what's this all about? Basically 90 high volume ATMs are found where the money laundering and the scams are being executing. And they were top target where the victims were making use of the ATMs to take the funds out. In short they were not really good for the older citizens and also lot of funds were gone outside the australia through the crypto. 

One notable case was the 77 year old widow which lost the  AU$430K funds from her bank. Like this many scams of the fund and the investment panners are selling crypto and locking the customer funds and they are losing the money. So more tight scrutiny is meant to be coming out. 

In short stopping this form of a crime is harder but required. And they started taking on the crypto ATM. And they are solving larger piece of the puzzle. And they are also cracking down on the groups which are scamming through the ATM there which is kind of difficult to navigate either way.
