September is known in the world of Bitcoin as a month when significant declines often occur, a month that, in most years, has been bad. The fall of the most dominant cryptocurrency tends to increase decline.
This year has been very different and, against all odds, Bitcoin's price showed a very good performance. Despite difficult moments due to the high volatility of cryptocurrencies, the month ended with gains. This strength has led many to believe that it could be the beginning of a new era of price increases.
The reasons for this good performance can be numerous and varied: the reduction of interest rates by the United States Federal Reserve, inflation containment at nearly acceptable levels, capital inflows from financial institutions, and a challenging global economic situation related to public debt, among others.
This change may be the start of a promising future or just a mirage. Only time will tell. We will have to see if this marks a shift for the coming years or if it was just an unusual month.
