The Canadian centralized exchange Newton adds five decentralized finance (DeFi) related coins to trade on it's platform. Polygon's Matic, Uniswap's UNI, Compound's COMP, Chainlink's LINK and AAVE from Aave. These are all cryptocurrencies that I find interesting and am bullish on. I must say that I have a soft spot for DeFi.

Newton recently added several new coins but unfortunately, they also discontinued Monero trading on June 17. The exchange currently has 19 different coins that you can buy for Canadian dollars or trade.
In all transparency, I would like to add that Newton is capable of the best and the worst. In fact, this app needs you to be very patient sometimes. The e-transfer from your bank to Newton can take a while, the KYC (know your customer) confirmation process can take several days and withdrawals can take a long time and aren't as fluid as we may want. I have not had any of these delays using Newton myself, but they are often mentioned by other users. Another con is their slow customer support that seems completely overwhelmed. There are of course some great pros as well. They have free transactions and their bid/ask spread is quite low so you get more crypto for your fiat and vice versa, a very good thing if you are trading large amounts of crypto. Newton also pays up to 5 CAD for your gas fee used with their free withdrawals.
I'll leave my referral link for those of you that are patient enough to buy cryptocurrencies at a good price on Newton. You will get 25 CAD for free in your account once you trade at least 100 CAD. https://web.newton.co/r/QXZQNA
