Everything that can be decentralized will be decentralized.

This is the inevitability of the modern economy that is increasingly manifesting itself as peer-to-peer, the mesh economy or the collaborative economy.

The points of centralized power especially the big Banks and the Governments will find themselves increasingly sidelined and their powers diluted as people transact among themselves using trustless technologies requiring no intermediaries

The concept of 'Software as a Service' is set to be replicated at a wholly different level wherein technologies such as Smart contracts, Blockchain and decentralized money like Bitcoin will facilitate the concept of 'Government as a Service'.

And that will usher in the beginning of the end of highly inefficient, unfair and inevitably corrupt political systems that are prevalent today across the world. Democracy - the rule of majority by vote - supposedly the fairest of them all is still susceptible to significant corruption and discretionary & arbitrary use of power by elected officials - as can be observed in India which is the world's largest and fully functional democracy.

Political power is to set filter down and get truly democratized with Technology acting as a great enabler towards people attaining complete control of the Social, Economic and Political spheres of their lives ! It is only a matter of time before it happens.
