Evening all you shambling Bounty Hunters--
Earlier today Dark Country released the image art of a new character on Twitter within the Dark Country game and the artwork is looking nice and gloomy! The featured ghoul is 'Night Shadow'--an elite warrior which appears to be a member of the Natives and looks fierce and dark with her own personal collection of skulls!
This new reveal is keeping the flavor of the upcoming game (April Q2) on theme and it is exciting to learn about the variety of characters within this new universe.
Dark Country Project: Next Stage
Dark Country additionally made some new announcements on their Medium account (here) that they have decided to take a new direction on a few of the development goals and purchasing features--specifically noted was the availability to purchase specific rarity in Card Packs will soon be at an end.
Currently, you are able to purchase Card Packs of standard cards (Exodus set ended Feb. 14th) in tier of four different rarities: Rare, Epic, Legendary & Mythical:
With each pack purchased within the tier the buyer is guaranteed one card will meet the rarity of the tier while the other 4 cards in the pack will be distributed randomly. According to Dark Country, once the current purchasing stage is complete on April 30th, these specific rarity tiers will no longer be available and Card Packs will contain 5 random cards instead.
This is a massive change considering that it will be extremely difficult to focus rarer cards in to your collection once the blind Card Packs are made the only option. I am unsure if Dark Country will offer other limited-time packs as the game continues but it seems their intent is to end this type of purchasing option for the standard card set moving forward.
If you wanted to leverage the strength of your collection--it would appear this is the best opportunity to do so.
